Understanding Guys

I'm convinced women have an advantage in life. They can say "I just don't understand men." I don't either, but how can I get away with saying that when I AM a man myself?

My ex of five years all of a sudden showed up at my door yesterday saying he wanted to talk. Now first, I don't know how he got my address. Second, who the hell just shows up at someone's door? (well, besides police, poll-takers, and the guy who shows up every winter trying to sell me wood for the fireplace)

Turns out I had a date last week with someone he knows, and he decided to show up Thursday night to tell me why I shouldn't go out with the guy again (not that I intended to... no spark). Anyway, I let my ex in and we were talking in the living room when the dude leans over and kisses me. Now guys, ladies, cats, ants, plants, what the hell do you do when someone you used to love (focus on the words "used to") tries to make out with you? All that came to mind was to say "what the hell was that about" and ask him to leave. And my ex has called me twice since on my cell phone (thank you caller ID), and BTW I never gave him THAT phone number.

If anyone has a giant can of Man-RAID (you know, the bug spray) can I please send you to his place? Or maybe you can just keep him busy and keep him away from me...

Hey you know what? I'm a woman and I don't understand both man and woman The next time he goes to your place, tell him that you'll get a restraining order.

I think it's radar. I know my ex...after I've been out on 3-4 dates with other men will out of blue contact me and ask to get back together... Almost as if they can sense when we are really moving on.

What's not to understand, though? He wants you again. Or, at least, he's trying to get you off the trail of the other guy.

That does sound a bit creepy...

On the other hand, if it gets worse, you might be able to sell the movie rights.

Well, at least it's nice to know I'm not alone. Maybe I SHOULD star in a movie of the week....
