Big City

I've lived all my life in a number of large cities. A few years ago I was tired of the traffic, all the people, the crime etc. of living in a big city. I've lived all over the United States- from St Paul, Minnesota, to Las Vegas, to Stamford, Ct, to a lot more in between. I always craved the adventure of living in a very large city.
I was living in Las Vegas and working in a casino when I just became very tired of the big city life. I wondered what it would be like to live in a small city. I really don't know I decided to settle in Gadsden, AL. Here I am though. I've been here 5 years and I'm getting bored.
I'm starting to crave something different. I'm just not sure what it is yet.

I know what you mean. However, from my point of view, Gadsden IS the big city. I grew up in a very small town in south Alabama. Living in Gadsden is so different than where I am from. A good example is that in the town I came from, you can find pastures with cows in them WITHIN the city limits.

I do understand your need for a change. I recently separated from my wife and I am now going through a messy divorce because that need was so great. My life is upside down and totally screwed up. I have asked myself many times over the past few weeks why am I bored with life? What am I craving also? Just so you know, you are not alone. We are both on the same fence looking for what comes next. I guess the question is: "Are we willing to jump and see where we land or do we stay were we are and wonder what is out there?"
