Questioning Vicky

OK - quick one here - just a question that I assume a woman can help with.

I've seen the television commercial for this Ipex bra at Victoria's Secret a couple times now, but it's like a Merck or AstraZeneca commercial... they don't tell you what it is.

What is the Ipex, and why should I care?

Today's soundtrack: Dido, Havana 3 AM, Rocket from the Crypt

The short answer: a marketing angle
The longer one: it's allegedly very lightweight but offers maximum (nipple) coverage and support.

Now I've got to say...I wear a rather large sized bra yet I have never once thought, "Gee, this thing is so heavy. I can barely lift it out of my underwear drawer."

You can go to the website and see a demo of it. No, not that kind; it's just of the bra.

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

It's the latest ill-fitting, overpriced bra in their line, that will offer no support for anyone over a 34B, or anyone who is on the full side of their cup size. It's a plain, boring bra that looks like it's a lycra/satin blend from the commercials. It's nothing to write home about, therefore, they have to overhype it.

I know I'm in the minority in hating Victoria's Secret, as women have been brainwashed to believe that unless you can afford Le Perla, another ill-fitting overpriced line, VS is the end all of bras and panties. I've never had a VS bra that ever fit right, nor did I have one that lasted more than 6 months, before it fell apart in the wash. The stuff is crap, pure and simple.

If I'm going to wear an overpriced bra, I want Aubade. At least they fit right and are pretty.

I wish I could answer, but Victoria's Secret doesn't make anything in my size. So I'll check back to see if anyone else knows. Maybe one of you guys who 'reads' their catalog?

Maximum nipple coverage??? But... I want maximum nipple exposure!

Seriously, if George Clooney was OK with nipples on his Bat Suit, women should embrace a little nipplage under their Anne Taylor's

HG - During my college years, I thought the VS catalog was the zenith of what sexy was. These days, I find the Hanes Her Way and FOTL ads more sexy. Though I gotta admit, those half-assed thong thingies work for me too; what are they called? A friend told me the other day, but I forget. Demi-ass thong?

I love Victoria's Secret. Most of it fits me like a glove. The Ipex bras are too plain for me though they are very lightweight. I agree the ad campaign for the bra was pretty silly. I just really like lingerie, doesn't have to be VS but I do have tons of it. I kinda look more like I belong in the Hanes ad though haha.

The universal law of the universe: breasts are breasts. In of bras, out of bras, in sweaters, teeshirts, pools, and hands.
The second universal law of the universe: certain things are re-invented every few years, tampons, bras, house hold cleaning supplies, facial wrinkle sealers. None are revolutionary. My sexiest bra is my old lightweight teeshirt in the the frozen vegetable section!

Well a good friend of mine who is no longer with the site, and I miss her so, once told me that the Ipex bras protect her nipples from the cold better than the other bras. Anyone else in agreement with that ??
