"Life is Immense!"

If you haven't watched The Legend of 1900, a bizzare, incredible movie about a musical genius who spent his entire life onboard a cruise liner, then you simply don't know what you're missing. Tim Roth was simply mesmerizing. And the music, the music will get you even if you're not a music buff. One tune, the tune he played when he first caught glimpse of the girl on the deck, simply but aptly entitled 'Playing Love' will haunt you in your dreams. I was pissed, correction, AM still pissed as hell with the decision he made at the end of the story, so much so i'd rather strangle him with my own hands. And yet, it remains one of my favourite movies of all time.

This posting is about what the old man he met on the deck told him. The old man had left behind his family to venture across the Atlantic Ocean in search of a better life. 1900 asked why. Old man said the ocean spoke to him. Having spent his entire life on the sea, 1900 had never heard the ocean speak. The old man was from a small inland village and had never seen the sea his entire life, until one day when he finally saw the roaring ocean for the first time in his life, he said, ' It roared to me, and told me, LIFE IS IMMENSE!'

'Life is Immense'. To be honest with you, i have no freaking idea what it means. I only know that whenever i'm down, the thought of those 3 mysterious words never fails to take my mind off my misery. Works every time.
