Don't know don't give a damn, next stop is Vietnam

Well, I'm back.

Monday morning I met my colleague Martin at terminal 1, Changi Airport and we boarded the flight to Ho Chi Minh City where we waited for over an hour to get through immigration, then our local driver drove us South to Vung Tau. We went straight to the Petro House bar and had a few gin and tonics before meeting with a couple of client people for another gin and tonic then back to the hotel at about midnight. I had a walk around the corner to Chi Chi's which has been in that location for more then 10 years now. I was the only customer and was remembered by one of the bar tending girls from my last visit, and the visit before. I had one more drink before retiring to my chambers in the Petro House. Unfortunately, I woke up at 4:00 in the morning and could not get back to sleep so I was very tired for the days meetings.

At the end of the day and after a meal, I took another walk a bit further then Chi Chi's. I went down to the Front Beach, took a left into a very brisk wind and I could see a few people across the way at the Rex Hotel's poolside bar...there were a few local gals lounging around and a few Westerners nursing their drinks, some old Rolling Stones played in the background. It was a rather uneventfully evening thereafter. On the way back to the hotel I stopped at the Purple Parrot and the Cajun Bar for a roadie and was in bed by about midnight. There was a 5:00am wake up call then the long drive back to HCMC and back to Singapore. It felt like the whole week had flashed by and it was only Wednesday afternoon.
