One of my friend's regular tennis buddies was sick, so a new member named Bob filled in. He was very good and pleasant company so he asked him to join him again the following Sunday: "8:30 okay?"
Bob said, "Fine, but I may be about 10 minutes late. Wait for me."
The following Sunday, Bob showed up right on time. Not only that, he played left-handed and beat him.
They agreed to meet the following Sunday at 8:30. Bob again said, "Okay, but I may be about 10 minutes late. Wait for me."
The next Sunday, there was Bob, punctual to the dot. This time he played right-handed and beat him again. "Okay, for 8:30 next Sunday?" he asked.
Bob said, "Sure if I’m 10 minutes late…"
"Wait a minute… You always say you may be 10 minutes late. But you’re always right on time and you beat me whether you play right or left handed."
Bob said, "Well, that’s true -- I’m superstitious. If I wake up and my wife is sleeping on her right side, I play right-handed. If she’s sleeping on her left side, I play left-handed."
"What if she’s lying on her back?"
Bob said, "That’s when I’m 10 minutes late!"
Best to keep both hands busy until you find that 10 minute window of timeBut is 10 minutes really enough....they call that de-fault in Tennis!
