The Hearing Problems of Men

6/16/2005 3:15 pm
Recently a guy I was interested in made contact again after almost 2 years. Now 2 years ago he said he loved me and let's get married. Then all of a sudden he had heart problems and needed time to think. I then discovered he was still trolling (looking for a woman). I got mad and yelled at him and then left him alone.
I made polite conversation, willing to give him another chance (does that make me gulliable and/or stupid?). I asked how his daughter is. He tells me she is now 14 yrs old. Okay, I tell him, that tell her age not how she is doing. He tells me she is now in middle school. Again, doesn't answer my question. I gave it up....
Well, today I was in the grocery store and saw a neighbor who has a Skipperki (spelled wrong I know) named Casey....friendly little dog. I asked how the dog was doing (hadn't seen her in a few days) and he says he's just reading a magazine. (I could see it in his hands)
What is it with you guys? Is there some genetic reason you do not hear or can not answer the simplest of questions? Too much testosterone in the ears perhaps? Ear wax build up? Well, whatever the problem is,it is annoying. How hard is it to is/are....???? It is not a difficult question and can be answered with just one or 2 words.
Sorry guys...I know not all of you are like this...but 2 in 2 days was just too much. Now the 1st guy may have a valid excuse....English is not his native tongue.
I brought this subject up in the chatroom, seeings how there were several guys of differing ages in there.
Here is some of the feed back I got:
unless it is about sex, jets, computers, sex, ipods, games, cars and other things that go vroomvroom or make loud noises, food, sex...guys just don't listen.
I did invite them to read this blog and post comments...but I see they didn't hear that (maybe i should have mentioned sex 1st???)
then on 6/19/05
I can not believe this!!!
I went to the Smoke Shop to get a carton of cigarettes. I stated very clearly "A carton of Djarum Vanilla please", and the clerk (a guy)grabs a pack!!!!!
It's enough to make a grown woman cry

Don't you know who he thinks he is?

They are too busy looking at our boobs to listen and everyone knows men can't do two things at once!

is why I prefer the girls, sweet one.
NB: a govt study recently showed (I am not making this up) that men process woman's voices precisely with the same part of the brain as hearing music, and so I guess they aren't trying to get any lyrics. By contrast:
I would be so attentive... music to my ears, yes, but I imagine listening to you for hours.
