Yes, it does. Hence the reason a lot of people delude themselves into thinking things, either about friends, family, or themselves. It is kind of pathetic, but I do not judge them. It is the easy way to many, but when you break apart the argument, you find that it does not hold water. I find it easier to be honest because then you do not have to remember as many lies, or tangles, or just stories. I have had friends who tell a story then when I ask them about it later they have no idea what I am talking about or change the story completely. It is easy to deceive because most of us are willing to trust, or willing to at least grant trust when people say something, but in the end, it is just hollow and sad. I love getting what I want too, but I am simpler than most with my wants...

I have a nephew that I use to tell actual advents that happened in my life. Some time later he would tell me the same story but it happened to him. Everyone now knows that he has a real lieing problem. His reputation is gone. So be very carefull with your lies, or your reputation will be shot.....
