My second post in a row. Wow. What's gotten in to me today?
Music speaks to me. I often throw in a brief song lyric at the end of my posts and/or emails. Just for the fun of it. How many have you recognized?
A lot of music is pretty much listen and throw away kind of stuff. But some of it really strikes a chord in me. Here are some of the passages I find especially engaging. I'm in my mid-forties so of course most of these will be from the sixties, seventies and, possibly, early eighties.
I invite you to post those snippets that you find interesting. Don't worry if you don't quote it exactly right. And no making fun of others!

Here is one from Bob Dylan I've always liked.|
Some are mathematicians
Some are carpenters' wives
Don't know how it all got started
I don't know what they do with their lives

To be closer to believing|
To be just a breath away
On the death of inspiration
I would buy back yesterday
But there's no crueler illusion
There's no sharper coin to pay
As I reach out
It slips away
