Why is it SO offensive?

I see so many blogs that complain about never getting contacted back by people. Ok yeah I understand that responding to an e-mail or following up later on a chat is the courteous or polite thing to do but lets face it, not everyone is polite or courteous. In the real world.....shit happens, people are rude, and things don't always happen the way you imagine them or wish they could be. Why is it that people sign up for this site expecting that it's gonna be any different then the way real life goes down? I realized the disheartening truth a long time ago.....no matter where you explore in life, there is shit everywhere. You're gonna meet good people, you're gonna meet bad people, and you're gonna meet people that are in between. I'll be the first to tell you that there are quite a few e-mails that I haven't responded to as well as there are a few e-mails that I have sent out and not gotten a response to but I'm not gonna cry about it. SO WHAT.....for one reason or another the person I e-mailed decided not to e-mail me back. Why is that so offensive? What did it take a whole minute or two out of my day? I spend more time then that taking a piss. People - please quit whining about all the lack of responses you're getting. If someone doesn't e-mail you back or respond to you trying to initialize a chat I think that it's pretty safe to say that they're just not interested. I can't honestly see that there's anything wrong with that. I mean, are you really interested in EVERY SINGLE PERSON that initiates contact with you? Get over it and move along. This site has like millions of people on it. How about trying this.....don't ever expect a response.....and if you get one - be thankful. Expect the worst but hope for the best. You can't go wrong that way.

I've been on 6 years...yes 6 years....and I have been contacted exactly 8 times. Well, more like 23 times, but 15 were from the same person who couldn't take a hint. But anyways, 4 were from people who wanted to send me IM addresses, and the other 4 were from gay dudes who apparently had mistaken me for someone who likes penis in his butt. Needless to say, with only 1 exception, I havent't had this problem. But then I'm a dorky white dude...definatly no shortage of us on this site.

amen! and thank you. but i'd like to add one thing to it...

if someone doesn't think like you MF agree with you, that doesn't make them any stupider than you are for not seeing things their way. opinion's are like... you know what i mean.

You are so right. I get little responses, some answers to my blog, but the important thing is to know who you are and continute on. You are very attractive, but who knows what you're like in person. Who knows what I'm like until you get to know me. It's matching personalities and that's always difficult
