Why am I so embarrassed??????

I went to the doctor today to get some perscriptions refilled and tell him that I have been really dizzy on some new medication. He looked over my chart to see what could be causing the dizziness and told me that the new medication that he just started me on might be the cause.

I am not very happy at this point. This medication seems to be working for me. This is the third one that I have tried and I am tired of taking something new, new side effects, new possible problems. Not interested!

I asked him if I could stay on this one for a while to see if my body adjusted to the medication. He said "Yes, if we do a complete physical and lab work." Every one knows what that means to a woman, time for a yearly check up! Yuck, I don't like those checks up one little bit!!!!

Here is my problem, I have been going to this doctor for the past 10 years. He has done my check ups for most of the years. (I am too cheap to pay the extra co-pay in order to see a specialist.) For the past year I have been shaving my pubic hair off. I shave everyday and I shave everything. Usually when I schedule my check up, I make it about a month ahead of time so that I can let the hair grow out a little bit. But now I only have 4 days before my appointment! I don't want my doctor to think that I am weird or anything, I just like to be clean shaven. I like the way that it feels and much cleaner I feel.

What do I do???? I can reschedule! (I have enought refills for one month.) Or do I just act like this is totally normal and not say a word and let him be surprised? This is the first time that I have ever been shaven clean.

Are there any other women out there that shave and go to the doctor with their heads held high above?

Help me, help me, help me!!!! I have to reschedule by monday morning in order for them to not charge me.

You can bet your doctor has seen a shaven puss on numerous occasions. Now if you had a tattoo of satan extending his tongue to your clit or the words "Please Lick ME" then you might give him pause for a moment.

Just go get your check up, all will be well.

This is more common than you think. I had a girlfriend once who absolutely hated hair of any kind (except what was on her head). She regularly shaved her legs, armpits, crotch and arms. I agree with coathanger1 - this won't be anything new to the Doc. Secretly, he'll probably enjoy it. I know it's my preference.

I have a doctor friend and I asked him that very question. How do you handle a woman that is shaved because I know most are embarressed and he said. More and more women are shaved these days and he actually likes them to be shaved because of the ease of being able to look at what he needs to look at and on a private note it really is more clinical for them than sexual. He told me after about 10 years of seeing naked women he almost always notices clinical things that show up than sexual. He was at a strip club once and left because a woman had something he thought was a bumo in her abdomen area and knew he wasn't there for the sexual release one pays for.

I would say don't worry about it. Actually your doctor might of liked it more than you think. I know I would of now that sounds bad of me.
