what's in your dreams?

When you were a kid what did you pretend to be? something truly fanciful like a superhero or a princess? something more ground in reality like a firefighter or teacher? In our dreams we can be whatever we want. Be the person we always wanted to be "in a perfect world".

The question to blogland today is did you let go of your dreams? Find a way to make them come true? Or turn them into new dreams? I myself have strived to be a better person working towards a vague goal day by day. I search for those elements that will make me truly enjoy my life. So what about you? When did reality and your dreams meet? Who was the winner? Or like me is the battle still raging on?

Those who know me intimately know of my love of both wrestling and comics. Both feature a wide variety of larger than life heroes. People who make the world a better place for whatever reasons. While I will never have super-powers or be standing in the middle of a ring with a big gold belt I do try to live up to their examples in little ways.

One of comic's greastest lines is "With Great Power come Great Responsiblity". Ben Parker said that without meaning super-powers folks. Well if that one isn't your style feel free to qoute me "Reality is subjective. Make yours a good one."

I played Dungens and Dragons, Star Wars, etc. I'm currently pursuing and living my dream. I always wanted it, but didn't have the confidence to pursue it. I'm here and doing it, though it is difficult. At least I'm surrounded by others who have similar dreams and are following them. Great quote, here's one from The Magic of Believing. "Persistence gives confidence and continued right mental attitude followed by consistent action will bring success." It's nice to remind myself of this sometimes, thanks.
