Weigh in week three

Well, not as much progress I had hoped for. I may have lost 1 pound. But it is so hard to tell on the scale I'm just marking it down as a zero loss week.

Don't understand it . I ate all the right things, exercised, basically did better than last week when I lost 4 pounds.

I am up to six trips up and down the hill from hell. I am aware I may be building muscle in my legs which could explain the lack of weight loss this week. Considering muscle is heavier than fat.

So I'm not getting to frustrated. Just going to keep on keeping on and the weight will drop

Start -263
Week 1-259
Week 2-255
Week 3-255

I'm also wondering if I didn't make a huge mistake in making Monday my weigh in day. Sunday is my only day off the week. Sundays I tend to eat at little more, especially when there is no steady lady in my life. At lest when a women is involved there is much more exercise in between meals. Should have taken Little Sugar up on that Sunday fuckathon. Probably would have dropped an extra pound. This really has me concerned looking to the future when football starts up.

I have my treat meal once a week. Treat meal is suppose to be on weight in day, after weigh in. Basically, I have been having my treat meal on Sunday, the day before weigh in. I mean who wants their treat meal on Monday! The single worst day of the week?

So we'll see how this week goes. I may eventually change weigh in to Sunday.

Congrats on what you have done so far...losing is the hardest thing to do...i started on a plan 4 weeks ago today and have only lost 6.5 pounds so far...slow, but just think that amount you have lost you are no longer carrying =)

Hang in there! You are taking steps to becoming a more healthier you and that can't be wrong no matter what the scales say!

How are your clothes feeling? I've heard that if you don't pay any attention to the scales (almost impossible, I know - I'm a slave to them myself) and instead focus on inches lost, you will see better results because of the fact that you are building muscle and it will show in the way your clothes fit.

Also, are you drinking enough water? That really does help - I know from personal experience!

I would change my weigh-in day to Sunday as well! People think I'm crazy, but everytime I start a diet, I begin on a Saturday so that I can have my 'treat' meal that day (I almsot ALWAYS eat out on Saturdays) and I will have a whole week to 'recover' from it by eating healthier than said 'treat' meal!

Just some random thoughts! The most important reason I wanted to comment was to say:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

on your initial weight loss and positive attitude to continue with your efforts even though you didn't see the results you wanted this week!

Yes, I figure like every eight pounds is like carrying one less bowling ball around all day.

But I will succeed. I am so sure I will succeed that I have actually cashed some stock and put it in a 9 month CD so I can get the loose skin taken care of after the fat is gone.

My doctor told me this would very likely be the case. Not positive but I'm preparing for the worse.

Thank you so much for the support!!

Have to admit, Did let down on the water last week. And probably added far to much white bread. This week it's all whole wheat pita bread and lots of water.

You don't know what a smile both you and 1973gal put on my face. You are both caring and genuine sweethearts. I was a little down in the dumps after weighing in this morning but the two of you and your kind words ended that.

Thank you!! And I will make sure to be there for you both when needed.

Tsk Tsk! Water, water, water! Hehe! Mmmmm, I love bread too! I could never do the low carb thing!

I am soooo glad we could make you smile! I know how hard it is to keep yourself motivated. Taking the easy way out and eating whatever you want is sooooo tempting! I'm still waiting for the take-one-per-week-eat-all-ya-want-'n-ya-won't-gain-an-ounce pill! Wonder when the FDA is gonna approve that...lol!

Seriously though, you're very welcome and I am here all the time, so if you ever need a buddy, please let me know! I'm GREAT at giving advice, even if I rarely heed it myself...lol!

Smoochies sweetcakes...

Tha FDA would do whatever they could to ban that pill. See, they may talk a good game, but they really don't want us living to many years beyond that magical retirement age.

With our social security system the ealier we die the more of our legacy they (Feds) get to keep. Big Brother would be all smiles if we all croked between 62 and 65 . Just as in the case of my Father and Mother. Between the two of them the had wroked for a combined 93 years and of course giving more and more of their pay to SS. They both have passed and they combined for a total of 6 years of collecting their benefits. The fed makes out beautifully, while we the children recieved a lousy $3000 to help with the burial expenses. These are two people who worked the asses off all their lives to provide for five kids. My father was veteran of the Korean War. It;s just shameful what our governement is doing to it's citizen. This SS system is nothing less than a legal pyramid scheme. If you or I started as similar retiement plan we would be put in jail. Criminal, jst criminal. Yet the American people sit idly and even supoort this. It's just mind boggling.

Sorry didn't mean to get so political, but that be me!!!LOL

Forgot to mention because I took off on one of my political rants, that I really pay little attention to carbs. I go soley by my points per food on Online WW.

My daily intake is 30. But that reduces as weight drops. When needed I have changed white bread to potato bread. I love it. Then I also use pita bread because that also has less points.

Great recipe I made was a whole wheat pita pizza with salsa, and low skim mozzerela and mushrooms. The salsa and shroom are complete frebbies as far a points. The whole pizza is a 8 point meal and is delicious. Everyone says yuck until the taste it. Just taste like a zestier pizza. Not even that zesty if you use the mild salsa. Try it, I gaurentee you will love it. It's quick also. Throw all thee above on a pita, put in a toatser oven and 8 to 10 minutes later you have a crisy, tasty , and very health meal. Reasonable calories, very low in fat and a pretty good fiber count. Don't forget to season with basil and or oregano. Whatever you like.
