Baltimore Cops Arrestes young couple for asking directions.

Now this is a state that refuses to enact any type of a Jessica's Law, that would guarantee child predators sit in jail for a good twenty years instead of six months like they often do. But by golly ask for directions and you sit in a cell for 8 hours. Then released with no charges.

This cop should should be cuffed by her ears and hung from the ceiling eight hours. I mean, don't they give these so-called police officers IQ tests.

Or was this a case of serious PMS allowing our justice system to be flushed down the toilet. If this bitch still has a job in a month, there should be a complete boycott of anything in Baltimore.

I usually try to go to to three weekends through the summer to watch some ball. But I won't give these backward assed idiots a cent until this out of control cop in on the unemployment line!!!!!!!

I hope these two kids sue the fuck out of this bitch, the city and the state.

BALTIMORE -- Baltimore City police arrested a Virginia couple over the weekend after they asked an officer for directions.

WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team reporter David Collins said Joshua Kelly and Llara Brook, of Chantilly, Va., got lost leaving an Orioles game on Saturday. Collins reported a city officer arrested them for trespassing on a public street while they were asking for directions .

"In jail for eight hours -- sleeping on a concrete floor next to a toilet," Kelly said.

"It was a nightmare," Brook said. "I was in there thinking I was just dreaming and waiting to wake up."

Collins reported it was a nightmare ending to a nearly perfect day. He said the couple went to a company picnic and watched the Orioles beat Kansas City. It was their first trip to Camden Yards and asked two people for directions to Interstate 95 South when they left.

Collins said somehow they ended up in the Cherry Hill section of south Baltimore. Hopelessly lost, relief melted away concerns after they spotted a police vehicle.

"I said, 'Thank goodness, could you please get us to 95?" Kelly said.

"The first thing that she said to us was no -- you just ran that stop sign, pull over," Brook said. "It wasn't a big deal. We'll pay the stop sign violation, but can we have directions?"

"What she said was 'You found your own way in here, you can find your own way out.'" Kelly said.

Collins said the couple spotted another police vehicle and flagged that officer down for directions. But Officer Natalie Preston, a six-year veteran of the force, intervened.

"That really threw us for a loop when she stepped in between our cars," Kelly said. "(She) said my partner is not going to step in front of me and tell you directions if I'm not."

Collins reported the circumstances got worse. Kelly pulled 40 feet forward parking next to a curb and put his flashers on while Brook was on the phone to her father hoping he could help her with directions. Both her parents are police officers in the Harrisburg, Pa., area.

"(Brook's father) was in the middle of giving us directions when the officer screeched up behind us and got out of the car and asked me to step out. I obeyed," Kelly said. "I obeyed everything -- stepped out of the car, put my hands behind my back, and the next thing I know, I was getting arrested for trespassing."

"By this time, I was completely in tears," Brook said. "I said, 'Ma'am, you know, we just need your help. We are not trying to cause you any trouble. I'm not leaving him here.' What she did was walk over to my side of the car and said, 'Ok, we are taking you downtown, too.'"

Collins said the couple was released from jail without being charged with anything. Brook is now concerned the arrest may complicate a criminal background check she's going through in her job as a child care worker.

Collins said police left Kelly's car unlocked and the windows down at the impound lot. He reported a cell phone charger, pair of sunglasses and 20 CDs were stolen.

Baltimore City police said they are looking into the incident.

There are 2 sides to every story. Down here in Crazyland we have a 16 year old that was given 10 years for stealing a six pack of beer from someone's open garage. TV and radio stations expressed outrage. The District Attorney that locked his ass up and the judge were interviewed. Seems this nice kid (now 21) had a record of violence and theft going back years. A 10 year sentence for stealing beer? I would have given him 20. It will be interesting to see what the Police come up with.

Well I have personally been on the other side of the police other side of the story, which were filled with lies. Granted, I admittedly was a drunk dumb ass. But the treatment of got on a few occasions was far more criminal than what I was being arrested for.

And then there were cases when I got busted the cops were the greatest people you could imagine. Once I got put in the cell for a bar fight, where I took a good beating. After we got back from the hospital, they brought me McDonald's and said they respected me for standing up to a man twice my size who was a renowned bully. Not to mention I managed to crush his nuts and damage his knee.

But I don't care what the attitudes were of these two kids. They came into a city, gave them business and their money, and an arrogant cop was asked to give simple directions. Of which she took offense. Which I believe should be dereliction of duty, just to start. What if these kids ended up in a dangerous part of town? And got robbed or car jacked.

Just the fact they were released without charges tell you something went way wrong here. And again this is in a state that refuses to put pedophiles in jail forever.??? A government formed by a bunch of degenerates if you ask me.

And I want to clearly state I am no cop hater. I respect and honor what they do. I have been arrested some 16 or is 18 times in my younger days. And especially when it was for weed, my attitude was hey you guys don't write the laws, your job is to follow them. But there has to be common sense and compassion in the mix.

And the time I pissed on a cop, when he demanded I turn around, when I told him I was pissing, and then he forced me around, and I pissed on him. That was his fought. A little common sense should have prevailed. I mean he must have heard the pissing sound, and you know a man can't cut it off like a lady does. But for that for two hours I had belly sticks pushed through my rib cage as he laughed that the fun was it wouldn't bruise.

But come on, do these two kids on this picture look like hardened criminals that should be taking up space in a holding cell. You have to wonder how many people in Baltimore, got mugged, beaten or in the time it took for this arrest and booking.

It's plain ridiculous and a total waste of tax payer money. Bottom line. I don't care if he called her a Fucking PIG. There are far bigger fish to fry out there and tax money should not be spent on this nonsense.

Cops especially have to have humility and common sense, Neither of which this women has.

I researched it further and there is of course and different story on the police report. But the only thing I found was that the young man refused to sign the ticket. Which in America, is a citizens right!!!

And they are suing and I hope the take Baltimore for a fucking bundle. I know they have lost my business this year. I am going to spread the word if this women is found to have broken protocol and not is fired.

We take three bus loads from Philly twice a year to go to Orioles games, this year we'll go the see the Senators play instead. Who wants to go to a city where the cops treat their visitors like that. IT's pathetic, Bottom line!!!!

Oh I agree with you, but let's see what happens in court. When I was a kid the bops beat the shit out of us for no good reason. Just 2 of them. I won;t say what we did to get them back but involved their car. They were transferred and their replacements got along with us just fine. I'm not saying all cops are good or always right; I know better. But we do need all the facts before judging. As to looks, Jeffrey Dahmer did not look like a murderer and cannibal, did he?

See what happens in court??? The only court action here will be the civil, because the cops made know charges, even though these kids spent hours laying in holding cell floors!!! Get a grip dude!!!

As I said the only justice here is for this bitch to loose her job and also suffer the same experience these kids endured. The bottom line this women at the least need a long , long vacation, Unpaid of course.

Actually this dumb bitch may be these kids best fortune. I could see them walking away with 300 to 500 K in settlement. But the most important thing is the women doesn't possess the integrity and humility to dispense justice. She needs to be gone.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. That's not how our system works. Seems like you prefer a monarchy with you as king possessing the final word as to anyone's fate. No innocent folks in prison?

rm_Rico0825 replies on 5/21/2006 8:20 am:
The point your not getting here is the police did not press any charges on them!!! They were held against their will for eight hours. And when that happens there damn well better be cause to file charges.

Now if they were drunk, I can see holding them for their own and public safety. The kids asked as cop for directions. They may have blown a stop sign. Give them the fricken ticket, give them directions so they don't cause an accident, and that is it!!! And by our constitution, nobody has to sign a fricken thing when given a ticket. With or without the signature it is an order to plead guilty.
or innocent, and if innocent show for court at the given time.

I didn't say a word about my word being final. The final word will be in our civil court. And it won't get to that because the city knows they will get nailed . There will be a settlement.

Common sense tells you these kids probably were getting a little rude. But like I said, in a state that is so backward country fucked that if refuses to instate 20 year mandatories for child , it is mind boggling two kids could be cuffed and kept in jail for eight hours.

Any way you cut it, it's ridiculous and lousy police work. From the officer up the chief, because he should have stopped this nonsense from happening

I agree. Those who fuck up should pay the price. The "facts" should come out in civil court; let's see if these folks opt to sue. If they don't, I smell a rat. Not what you're thinking but perhaps threats by the police. My point is not to get too passionate about this and jump to judge. In a perfect world.................
