You say you want a revolution....

OK...our government is officially OUT of OUR control!

Today's ruling by the "Supreme Council of Justification" (we no longer have a Supreme Court) on "Medical Marijuana" clearly flies in the face of the will of the people and comes down firmly on the side of Federal Totalitarianism. Let's prosecute sick people - freaking DYING people - for daring - DARING!!! - to not accept the officially proclaimed line of stupidity. What a GREAT country!!!!

I'm usually one of the first to defend the judicial system as the last line of defense against over-reaching politicians, prosecuters, and the ever-encroaching Police State. Now even THAT has been co- opted, perverted, and turned against the people.

You know who's fault that is? OURS!!! Too long have we been complacent, indifferent, and willing to be led around by the nose like so many lemmings while our "Leaders" bend us over and take us up the ass while we're face-down on the asphalt. (Do I get extra points for mixing my metaphors?) Guess we like it???? What other excuse can there be???

Unless we WANT to live in a totalitarian society the time to act is NOW! Fortunately, our Founding Fathers have given us a remarkably powerful tool for ridding ourselves of the corrupt and criminal elements stealing our democracy. It's called a VOTE. We don't need to accept the two flavors of corporate whores we're currently offered. WE HOLD THE POWER and it's well past time we took that power back from these bottom-feeders. We can turn these dipsticks out and make them find REAL jobs! Of course, the only job they have any qualification for is maybe we can throw their dumb asses into jail on those grounds?

Time for a second American Revolution, folks - or we're going to lose everything it means to be American anyway. To too large a degree we already have.

I wore the uniform of this country for 4 years and wore it proudly. I couldn't do that today and it produces a profound sadness in me that we have fallen so far...

Let us fall no more. Let us spread our wings and fly into a better future and reject the encroaching Police State as the horror it truly is.

well well well....i am sure even if "we" the people would american revolution would so not work....with society and its sick twisted ways of showing those true colors, we have but very few like you said is very important...but if you have no idea what the issues can you expect any progress. WE need to take the time to get active....and get with A program....that would educate them on how every little decision effects them....whether it be positive or negative....there will still be an what to do next?

live more, laugh often, love much

The decision is stupid but correct. Federal law is supreme and applies even if state law is to the contrary. We need to change Federal law to allow marijuana non-commercial home grown use when a doctor approves for terminal patients, etc. Tell your Federal congressman and senator! Yes I am a lawyer. Basic constitutional law. Federal law being supreme overroad state laws for racial segregation.

Sorry, Red - back to law school. This time try to sit next to someone a bit smarter. I'd agree with you if we were talking about a circuit court or even a federal appeals court. We're not. We're talking about the Supreme Court (whether it actually has any claim to the name any more or not). It had not only the opportunity, but the RIGHT (go back and try READING the Constitution) to say that the Federal Government had over-reached (as you yourself admit is the case). Instead they chose to bend over and kiss the ass of a totalitarian administration who, equally clearly, knows where the bodies are buried. (Daddy DID head up the CIA - nice polical insurance policy, that.) THAT is my point...we can no longer trust our institutions to look out for any but their own self-interests. Time for a change.
