I have recently joined this site, so I thought I would start my blog and let you get to know me.
First of all, I'm 39, 6'2" tall, 215lbs. I'm not going to describe my endowment as I think that would be in bad taste (if your realy interested, read my profile. No there isn't a picture).
I was born on September first 1966, one week after the first episode of Star Trek aired. I beleave that many of my current atitudes can be traced to my resentment at missing that first episode (heavy sigh).
I come from a large hispanic family (is there any other kind of hispanic family?). I am very close to my family, and always will be. I am the second youngest out of nine children. So, as you might imagine, I got beat up a lot as a child.
This is probably what led to my interest in martial arts. Then again mabe I was just looking for an excuse to wear my pajamas in the daytime.
My mother taught me how to cook when I was young. This eventualy lead to a mini career as a profesional chef. But I found that although I love to cook, I hate the restaurant business. I did find that women can sometimes be enticed to date you with the promise of a gormet meal (any ladies interested in trying my Chicken bur blanc or my Italian stuffed peppers?). I have a backround in Mexican, Italian, Freanch, and American cooking (you should seriously try my Italian stuffed peppers, very good, if I do say so myself).
My family is very musical, so we all sing and/or play an instrament. I've been known to twang on the guitar, and I caterwall better than most (some day, when I figure out how, I'll post a song in my blog so y'all can hum along or cringe as suits you).
Since we are on the subject of music, my musical taste is eclectic (I ran out of room to list them in my profile before I got even half of what I wanted to list). It's easier to list what I dont like than what I like. I don't like polkas and I don't like . Polkas I just don't like, I don't like because I'm always woried about the bitches and hoes getting shot. Alright, I don't like , except for the I like (no, don't try to figure it out, you'll get a headache).
My favorite bands/artist are (not in any particular order): Jimmy Hendrix, Santana, Tuck andres (he got mad guitar skills), Bad company, Alanis (she's so wierd she's cool), Tito Puente ( Oye como va is a cool song), Natash Bedinfield (unwritten is a great), Jesus Jones (what ever happened to him?), School of fish. BB King (more mad skills), Rob Thomas and his band whats their name, Nataly Imbruglia (I want to see her bound and naked of the floor), Nelly Furtado (I always mess up her name), Gloria Estefan (my current favorite is Always Tomarrow),Bon Jovi (only 2 of their songs), Kiss (hey, gimme a break, I grew up listening to them, It's nastalgic), P.M. Dawn (very smooth, goes down like a good single malt),Biance (my babe), Janet Jackson (love those Jackson girls), Macy Grey (wow, that hair), Billie Holliday (Lady Day taught the world to sing the blues), Miles Davis (we're not worthy), many others.
One more note about music, I hate that they're calling Hip-Hop R&B now. When you remember smokey or issac or any of the other classic R&B artist, its a shame that their format got hijaked by Hip-Hop. Don't get me wrong, I love Hip-Hop, but it aint R&B (whew, I feel better).
Thats about all I have for today, but you've been such wonderful guests. Pet the dog as you leave. Good night.
