New Year's Traditions.........What are yours?

We invite friends and family over for pork and sauerkraut to bring good luck to the new year.

It really just started with Sail and I doing it and asking my family over to dinner and now all of our friends and neighbors look forward to it.

I am running out of room at the dining room table and need to set up another table for today.

So how do you celebrate New Year's Day?

Hey, Sweethearts! I don't really have a set tradition, except to serve black-eyed peas with stewed tomatoes (and a dime) today. Whoever gets the dime gets the "extra" good luck of the year.

This year has started-off in a major way! I delivered a baby. Check it out on "the blog"!

Oh Safira, that is great! I cant think of a better way to start the new year.

I may throw a dime in my sauerkraut. I like that idea. I am making black eyed peas for a friend who is a vegetarian so if I put them in there she may be the only one that gets it hehehheheheehehe.

Well off to go cook!
