Is Your Boss A Jerk?

You all know I started a new job back in early July and lately things have been going really great and I am getting my department into shape and then all of a sudden this week, my boss (well really the President of the company) decides to have my head on a platter.

I dont need to go into all the details here, but yesterday the fucker watched me and my department like some vulture about to attack his prey and that he did, 4 times!!!!!

It was for the stupidest things too. I about told him to take this job and shove it, but being the professional I am, I stood up to him and told him I respectfully disagreed with him (Oh that is what really started it).

The day before he was mad and I disagreed with something he said. I made it happen, but I still disagreed. So I guess he doesnt like people having their own opinion. Oh well, he better get used to because I am professional and will indicate my thoughts in a professional manner and if they disagree with his then so be it. He needs to be a man and take it and either realize I am right or accept that sometimes you will disagree, but that doesnt mean your employees wont do what you say.

Dumb Ass!

So, is your boss a jerk? Yea or Nay?

Yeah...always telling you not to do something then she turns around and do it...always getting after the females workers for something but the males can't do any wrong... is this sex discrimination??? lol....always taking the credit for something that you did.... can't do the schedule where it works out.... and she wonders why some are not working, and some are working too much and can't get all their work done.

her boss is even a bigger jerk, she shouldn't talk for she makes her self look like a big idiot.

(I am not the only one that feels this way in my department.)

On a personal level we get on great. On a business level he's a total asshole.

I don't know whether he has too much to do or is some kind of megalomaniac, but he just never listens. He hasn't put together any sort of KPI's for me (or my colleague) so how the hell are we supposed to get a pay rise next year ? We have no targets set so how can he tell if we have achieved/over achieved/under achieved ???

It's one of the reasons that I am looking to move on when I have sorted this foot thing out.

Do it for him and make him look like a bigger idiot. He will feel stupid when you say "hey, I outlined some goals for us, what do you think?"

I currently work for myself and I don't think I am a jerk!

I can remember one of my first jobs, in the Air Force, was a 1ST CLASS JERK! He should have become a monk because he didn't get along with anyone! The only reason he wasn't fired, was the archaic Civil Service protected this butt and I think his bosses couldn't figure out how to get rid of him!

I think my last post indicates what kind of boss i work for. I told her only once how far a compliment would go, and it doesn't cost her anything. She has her ways i guess. What is sad, is her feelings that no one in the department should tell her how to do her job. When will leaders get it? You are only as successful as your people make you! Take care and HUG=GASMS!!!!!!!!!!!

Update your resume Darlin', disagreeing with the boss is usually career suicide. Which is why I've had son many jobs I guess. You may be right, but the boss is always righter. Hopefully your boss has his shit together and sees what an asset you are to the company. Joe

I disagree!!!! A good boss welcomes the challenge!!! I am smart person and his one directive was unethical and would have cost him his ass. So on the bright side, me respectfully disagreeing with him was a good thing and he knows it, but now I must suffer and take my punishment ?* LOL!

Honestly, he was over it yesterday and was very nice to me.

Like VCF above, my boss and I get along great personally... businesswise he's a fucking MORON! (No disrespect intended to those with legimtimate mental or developmental disabilities.)

I want to beat him into a coma so I can have control of the company finances; he spends money on things we don't need and is scrambling to pay things we do! Once that's in the bag things will go much more smoothly for me and for the company.

My boss is a nutso, balding, mid life crisis, big fuckin pain in the ass. Jerk just doesn't cover it. I could go on for hours with some of the stupid stuff that has happen at my job. But it's all good... i get my own back in little ways that are set up to really drive him nuts... and the best part... it has no effect on how i do my job and as we are a union shop he can't do anything about it. Right now security is his big thing..... gotta keep the terrorist outta the garage.... they might bomb a bus.... so i leave all my doors open all night long while at work..... anyone could walk in.... drives him batshit..... lmao. By the way thanks for stopping by my blog... please come back.

No, not really - sometimes they get me upset but I just forget about it too quickly.

I really would love to have a female boss - being her personal assistant is top choice (travelling around as her "partner" for business & pleasure).

I am willing to move for the right job!

I am blessed right now as I am only teaching at the college at the moment....and I have a wonderful boss. But my boss at my last nursing job was a total idiot. She liked me for the most part I wasn't usually the one in the dog house.

Just remember, the boss may not always be right but is always the boss. Most of my bosses have been prime examples of the Peter Principle, promoted to the level of their incompetence. Dilbert's pointy-haired-boss is merely an amalgam of many annoyingly idiotic "suits" in the world.

HAH ... For 13 out of 16 years I have had incredibly talented, motivating bosses.

In 2002, I was passed over for the top job at my company and an outside jerk was hired. He drove me to quit. He was fired by the Board a year later. This year after 2 years with a new company, I was let go by a boss who had no talent.

BUT, in those 13 years, I was blessed with bosses who taught me how to keep it real, lead, have fun and make money!!

Well 2 of the 13, I was my own boss and other than teh arguments I had with myself it wasn't bad at all ....

My only regret was that I didn't suck it up with my first bad boss, stayedlow and waited till he fucked himself... sometimes, laying a little lower and being less confrontational isn't a bad strategy .. GOOD LUCK

I've had some really good ones and some really bad ones. My current boss is on the bottom half of the pile but not the worst..... I'm looking HARD for another job now hopefully I'll get another good one.

No, not all. Not allowed to be, it would violate one of the company policies. And be grounds for termination.

Yeah.. I have had a few bosses that needed a drop kick. Hang in there. (Other's just needed a dick slap I think..a good orgasm or

I have to agree with some people here however. In many instances, people that act like a foot at work are insecure, have personal issues (family), health issues, etc.

You never really know what is going on in another's life so just bit your tongue and see what occurs. That or just flipping how are you..where are you from..blah blah..

I have had a lot of people be nasty to me at work over the years..and 98% of the time it had nothing to do with me. It was just life, work stress, or some other B.S.

Some people take out their crap from home out on you. Some just blow up because they may have a boss, or support board, or client that is rubbing them the wrong way..

me.. I use to take it all personally..but you know what..again..many times it is not you or I ..but them with the issues they are not readily expressing to others..

HEll just cary a pocket vibe around..cum your mind away.. =) Just joking..Kitty. A little humor in these situations helps as well..

I have had stupid stuff at work lately also but not from my direct boss..

Stop by and say hey..

my boss-a group of great doctors ( bad business partners ) are good w/ the patients but have chased away most of the help. they lack the ability to communicate with each other or us and make a lot of promises that they don't intend to keep.looking for another job now but don't intend to tell them because they play dirty

I'm both boss and employee. I work for a company and have two companies on the side. I only dabble with mine right now, but am thinking of firing them up full-force again soon! Either that or finding a new employment (self-employment is tough). All because my boss IS a jerk. I wonder if Goddess1946 is hiring?

All bosses are ass holes, just try your best to keep your cool. If you don't they will turn it around on you. You know they are always right and your wrong. They will say your not a team player or some bull shit like that. Since you just started you need to feel these people out and find out where they are coming from, before you stick you neck out too far. Your so smart and some men are frightened of that, shit my job is like a concentration camp and full of Stepford Wives.

Purry, you tell him as it is - like you say if he doesn't like it he'll just have to get used to it won't he. Don't sell yourself cheap being what he wants you to be. I want to know how the hell do these people get on..... well I di know kissing ass, hence why I haven't got on easily.
My present boss isn't too bad, my last was the worst ever, he really pushed the envelope - I can peg most people, but him I just didn't understand his logic......complete idiot!
Stick with it!
