Do Women Dress For Other Women?

I recently read an article that women dress for other women and wasn't quite sure that I bought into it, however, this morning as I am getting dressed, I realized I was thinking about what this lady was going to think when I came walking in the door tonight......

Do you think women dress for other women?

Purry {=}

BTW, I hate ironing!

Interesting question, from my experiences with women I would say yes. You ladies are the hardest on each other.

And I VERY MUCH hate to iron also!!!! Sometimes people call me "Captn Wrinkles!"

I think they do, Purry. I think the psychology behind it is actually pretty complicated. But think about all the marketing done specifically to a female demographic that focuses on glamorous and/or sexy women as the subjects. It seems hot babes dressed to kill...or undressed to kill...is a big seller to both men and women. The only real purpose of a magazine cover shot is to catch the eye...sizzle factor...of the target reader. Just take a look at all the women's mags. You see a lot of leg, cleavage, and midriffs. And men don't buy Cosmo.

I think women dress for themselves....they also dress for whatever occasion they will be involved in....and I know they dress for one another...and for us men too.......MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
BTW....I am an expert when it comes to Ironing...believe it or not....I learned in the Navy....so....bundle all of it up...and send it to me, or I could jet on up there.....I'll do it all...no charge....well....perhaps we might work out something....and....how do you like your starch...heavy....medium...or light?....with that pretty smile, watchin me Iron....I wouldnt need any starch!.....LOL

Will

You better believe most women dress for other woman! It's like a big competition or something. Now if women were to dress for us men they would just wear their birthday suit. LOL But seriously if you look at someone like Katsback she is dressed either for her own comfort or because she knows a pair or short cutoffs really turn a man on. She’s not wearing fancy clothes or a shit pile of makeup because she doesn’t care what some other woman thinks of her clothes. She just wants to be comfortable. That’s my kind of woman!

Yes! Women definitely dress for other women. However some women weather they realize, know how to dress better than others and sometimes it helps to have a man dress them or just surprise them with new clothes.

I enjoy buying clothes for women but am always nervous on how well they will be received.

I hate ironing as well but my wife must hate it more because if I or she ever needs anything ironed it ends up being me ironing it...the shirt or pants may still end up looking like I slept in them though...

PS. I like your blog

I would imagine that ladies who have time to think about that too often will have far too many dresses than they could ever wear more than once and maybe end up giving up and staying home dont you think? Maybe they they wouldnt have a problem if they slowed it down a bit and dossed about in jeans or joggers. Have more time to play!

Women are other women's worst critics. It's unfortunate, yet true. I hate how chicks bash on one another (behind the victim's back more often than not), yet I've caught myself doing it- being a catty bitch. It's revolting behavior, and nothing I'm proud of- it makes the speaker look insecure and ill-mannered.

Yes, women dress for other women. Women have always been the ones to approach me and say they like my purse, think my shirt is gorgeous, or they've been admiring my shoes. Women are also more likely to cast a critical eye, and make an ugly sneer when they think no one's watching.

Yes, women dress for other women. After all, the man would prefer that you do not dress at all....

I would say yes. I think it's because we know the other women around us will notice the details of our appearance. Most men tend to see the whole picture and won't really notice if our nail color is a shade too dark to match that shirt.

Ironing sucks!

Of Course we do....though no-one wants to admit it. However, my boyfriend thinks I wear tops to show my nipples on purpose!! He's right *Y* ....but I'll never tell him that!!
