CSI.....Annapolis....Purry Kitty.....Help me Understand

Okay, I have been blogging awhile now and the posts I put up that I think are inquisitive and funny and should get a lot of responses or views dont get very many at all????

1. Can you really get married in Las Vegas in 1 day?
2. Do You Have A Monster In Law? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. "Be like a bee" ...\8

Others were somewhat funny, but I dont understand why they got more views and replies than others???

1. Do You Like Green Eggs and Ham?Why did this get over a 1000 views and a lot of comments? and something like Does Tequila Make Your Clothes Come Off?only get 17 comments????? >>!

And some well you would think I didnt even say anything at all because they have 0 comments or they just went flat!

1. Legs to clasp around your body, pulling you in....... *Y*
2. Be Like a Bee.....Part IV
3. Guests are like fish.............
4. I hate when people lie online....its such a waste of time
5. Together you and I heralding the sunrise
6. Dirty Thoughts and Readings Continued>>!
7. O you, Who came upon me once

Is there a certain time of day that I should be posting?

Are my posts just not interesting?

Am I posting too much?

Does a picture help? If so, would you rather see the crazy pictures I find or a picture of me?

Do you wanna see more sex and kinky posts than the silly questions that really go on in my head?

Help me understand Blogville!

Kisses to all {=},

Well, I think that once you start to "mingle" more...and visit more and more blogs and obviously, leave more and more comments..that eventually, you start to get recognized and then you get more visit's and then more comments.

I think once I got into the "Mystical Mistress" thing...and everyone was playing around, is when I made more blogging friends.

I had some already, but I think getting in on the "silliness" had helped some.

I don't really know whether any particular style is any more popular than the other...all though "sex and erotica" is always of interest to this AdultFriendFinder bunch. I like adding pictures to my post's just cuz I think it jazz's it up a little. I don't think whether you post a lot or a little really matters too much..for example.. SJ365..doesn't post daily...sometimes she'll go many days without a new post...but as soon as she does....people flock to her blog, and mostly it's because she is an awesome writer...but she's also very kind and compassionate too. Then you have mzhuny who post's nearly every day....and of course she has a huge following...and her style is way different than mine or others. So, I don't think it really matters. Neither does time of day. Anyway...that's my thoughts. Hope it helped some. Later..Slide.

~~~ Just me, poppin to say HI! ~~
Purry,
Thats funny because I had never really taken much notice of what of mine was read and what wasn't until 2 days ago when I realised I had been blogging for 4 months exactly and took a stroll down "memory lane".
I too was surprised at what posts were read and commented on the most. Don't think there is any theory behind it...and I still write it for me so that's OK.
I'd be lieing to say that I dont like responses, but they are usually from the same group of friends.
Staying purring!!
Frangi x
Thanks all for your advice. I was just puzzled why others got more comments and views than others.
I suspect there are a whole bunch of reasons one might have more views or comments. Besides those already mentioned I can think of a few more.
1. Longevity. Mz Huny and Expatbrit have been blogging almost since the beginning of the blogs here. They developed a good audience and consistently posted.....and their posts almost always had sexual content.
2. Top Billing. If you get into the top bloggers list it insures you a lot more views and more comments. It is somewhat self perpetuating as long as you are interesting to the AdultFriendFinder crowd and you continue to post regularly.
3. How often you visit other blogs. Mz Huny visits every blogger who comments on her posts. This encourages community. You visited and commented on my blog and it brought me here. Exploration encourages exploration.
4. Blog content. My blogs are perhaps more personal than expats. Some folks like that....other don't. I think his style of constantly asking questions keeps people coming back to see where he is at today.
Sexyfitwoman is another example of that blog style of asking lots of questions and posting provacative pictures.
5. Picture content. Pictures and color in one's posts makes them more interesting. A black and white post without pictures is entirely dependant on the content to generate interest. My style has been to only post pictures that I take.....that limits me a bit in what I can share with the reader.
6. Writing content. I have found some excellent writers here of prose and poetry. I have found other writers whose writing is excellent at shocking people or raising consciousness. And I have found people with poor writing skills who have little to share. Each style and skill level attracts a different audience. That is what makes this such a fun place to explore.
7. Unknowns. I once ran a contest to get all those unkown viewers to actually comment on my posts. I thought I could lure them into becoming active in my blog. Well, it didn't work. I did attract one or two regulars who still come to my blog to this day but it didn't help me identify everyone in my audience. Remember that some folks cannot comment on the blogs because they are not members of the site. If you have not tried it yet, do a Google search on your handle. You are out there on the internet in ways you might not have imagined.
Well, I hope this helps. Keep on blogging, be honest, and they will come.....or not. And thanks for visiting my blog.
I just started my first blog ever today and was wondering the exact same thing. I figured that you needed some sort of gimmick or theme so for mine I decided to end each post with a poll or survey related to what I was writing about just to see what other people are thinking. I think the main thing is just to write about stuff you find interesting and if you keep doing that it'll always be a pleasant surprise when someone else has something to add to it.
Anyway thanks for being the first to comment on my own blog and I'll be keeping an eye on yours from here on out.
Personally, I just write down the thoughts and discussions that I can get away with on here. I have a lot of things that go through my noggin that I can't just talk about in the workplace or at home. So I come here to just let it go, if anyone comments so be it, but at least I'm putting my thoughts out in the open.
