Are You A NASCAR Fan?

You Know you are a NASCAR Fan if...

You run out of gas and try to explain to the cop (who's giving you a sobriety test) your weaving from lane to lane was just an attempt to get fuel into the pickup.

Every time you rotate your tires at home you put the stop watch to it and record the time and try to better it next time.

On an Interstate exit ramp you stay on the outside to keep the RPMs up.

You say "But officer, I wasn't tailgating, I was drafting"

You think nothing of getting up at 4am, driving for 5 hours, sitting in a traffic backup for 3 hours, baking in the sun, spending 5 hours to get out of the parking lot, driving 5 hours home, getting up the next morning at 5 am, going to work on 3 hours sleep, and telling everybody what a GREAT time you had.

Okay, I could keep going but want to hear how you know you are a NASCAR fan

This is a real picture of Sail driving a real NASCAR car in Richmond last year. Isnt he so cute?

You know your a Nascar fan if you know a racetrack is actually in the shape of a parabola. Oh wait, no that means your being forced to take algebra.

being a foreigner only ever seen Nascar on tv - looks like an awesome day out. Love motor racing of all sorts. Will be at the Formula 1 race here in bahrain next month - just hope bloody that damned German doesnt win! Ferrari and Toro Roso and Honda have been here all week testing. Mrs has been going nuts as Jenson Button is here - she wants to jump his bones she says! lol Race track is nearly 10 miles from the Golf Club - could hear every gear change though - noise is unbelievable! Must be same at Nascar I guess. watch the F1 in bahrain on tv and send me a wave lol

You've just given me a little further motivation to find some tickets to the Dover races this year. For a few years, I was really lucky and got comp tickets and cold pit-passes. Got to hang out in the hospitality tents and all that fun stuff.

You realize that this likely means that you, and sail and I have been within the same general vicinity several times.

You know what? Now that I think about that ass pic you sent me, I think I might have followed you up the steps from the beer stand once.

It was a turn and a half away from my section, but a chance to follow a sweet, swaying ass up MANY stairs is an opportunity I can't pass up.

Maybe next time I'll accidentally trip and accidentally bury my face in that ass.

Talk about an ice-breaker!

"Hmmh Prrmhpy. Isth mhur, Khhder."

Which translates to: Hi Purry! It's me, KDR."

Dover is the only track I've been to so far, but I have plans to visit many more if I can ever find the time and money.

BTW: not to split hairs or anything, but standing next to a race car does not "driving" make. LOL.

P.S: Any more hot pics for me? I know you've got 'em...... c'mon. The hand-placement in that last one was just too perfect.

Purry... our whole family grew up on and around racing. My dad raced in Illinois when we lived there....but didn't after we moved to AZ. But he was always involved in it in one way or another either helping to build a car or pit crew'g.

My mother is the biggest Nascar fan I know.... I love it, but admit I rarely follow the statistics. I like going and watching rather than watching it on TV. I know my mom will be glued to the TV tomorrow.

My dad...used to work for Roger McCluskey...of Indianapolis fame. Indy cars...woo hoo. Course, he died some while ago, I think about a year after my dad passed. But after he (Roger)retired from racing...he was on the board of commisioners or something like that I can't remember exactly...also he did testing for Goodyear tires.

The one year that Roger nearly won the Indy 500....but ran out of gas on turn# 3....I can't remember what year it was, but it was back in the mid to late 70' dad was working for him then....actually he worked for him for many, many, many years...anyway... that year oh he was so upset for running out of gas. Pit crew guys got a major ass chewin. LOL. Paul Newman...was a friend of Rogers...and Roger had a garage here in Tucson...Paul Newman brought his race car down for my dad to work on. My dad was a master mechanic....very, very good.

~~~ Just me, poppin to say HI! ~~
