Information Regarding AnEnigma

OK, today, as a favor, I spent a great deal of my time investigating the truth to the post regarding AnEnigma517's untimely demise.
Let me say that I have been and continue to be skeptical of that post, and in fact, I was trying to decide whether or not I would participate in the Blogging Blackout tomorrow, the 11th. Mainly, I was concerned that posting would seem disrespectful to those who did have an emotional investment in him, and I feel no differently with this post, and therefore mean no disrespect by my skepticism or by the conclusions I have drawn here.

That said, let me state what I did and did not find out, and then direct you to goddessofthedawn's blog for even more information.

My first goal was to validate that people closest to Engima had the correct name and location info, most of which was based on his profile, which we all know can be faked. I found that there did appear to a person fitting his age, name, and location. So that checked out.

Then, my goal was to check if his name had been in any news for the past three days. I found no references to him in any news source in his local area or even in his state.

Then I looked for any evidence of any automobile accidents in his local area of any kind in both local and state papers as well as their local television news station. I found very little evidence of ANY auto accidents of any kind, and none of them involved the fatality of a male nor did they fit the description of the accident described.

In fact, there have been virtually no reported automobile accidents at all his town, county, or the surroudning counties, and the ones that did appear did not in any way fit the description of the accident given nor involved a single male fatality or an alleged drunk driver.

So, from this, I can only draw three conclusions:
1. No news organization has reported this accident.
2. I was looking in the wrong place.
3. This accident never occurred.

Given the shark frenzy nature of the American press on all levels, number 1 is highly unlikely.
Given that all sources regarding personal information about him, including the person who reported his death, have given me the same state and town location, number 2 seems similarly unlikely.

That leaves number 3. Along with the fact that this accident does not exist in current news media, even days after the fact, we have the general circumstances of the post:

The post was made by a first time blogger, and has been "her" only subject. She reacted in the extreme to [blog Sexyfitwoman]'s post regarding the mere possiblity that the post might be false, treating it as a personal attack. Further, as a brand new blogger, it seems quite unlikely that someone who has just gone on a date with someone for the first time, and that person was killed in such a horrible fashion, would even be looking for posts regarding this event or even blogging with any frequency. Perhaps they would make one post as notification, but does it seem likely that a non-blogger would suddenly begin posting even though they are supposedly helping the estranged family of that person with post partem arrangements?

Lastly, her profile was turned off and guess what? Her blog is gone today.

So, I let you draw your own conclusions. You may also want to check here on GoddessoftheDawn's post [post 198607] for more information regarding her telephone inquiries to various police departments in the area of this supposed accident.

It isn't so much the frenzy of American media. In some major cities, yet another person killed by a drunk driver isn't even considered worthy of news filler. However, we are talking about a township. Not even a town. In such small rural communities, someone's car being broken into makes the newspaper and something like a drunk driving accident is front page news.

Granted, the small local papers all tend to come out once a week, always on a Thursday. The local papers for Moon Township are no exception. However, given how calls to the local police and the local trauma center bloggers have made are turning up nothing, I doubt there will be a word in the papers on Thursday.

If I were to say I was confused, it would be a huge understatement.

    Quoting rm_Sky_Level:
I think people should blog. This whole thing looks like a bad joke and popularity seeking.

Isn't it weird that both profiles "1finePianist" and the supposed to be dead "AnEnigma517's" along with the blogs are gone??

My theory is 1finePianist was AnEnigma517 the whole time.
I agree with Sky, I believe that 1finePianist was AnEnigma517. What a low down dirty hoax to pull. Nuff said.
