100 Things About Ptalk Part 1

Eh, I was bored. Here's the 100 silly things you get to find out about me in order from most silly/obvious to most profound. I haven included parenthetical remarks for your amusement.

1.) I'm a cynic and a skeptic. (Could you tell?)
2.) I'm often sarcastic. (Ditto)
3.) I consider myself a geek. (Not nerd. Nerds have pocket protectors and glasses.)
4.) I hate mornings. (Who doesn't?)
5.) My favorite breakfast is a tall glass of Orange Juice. (Mmm)
6.) My all time favorite movie is still Armageddon. (How can you not enjoy a movie where someone shoots at Ben Affleck?)
7.) Harrison Ford is my favorite actor. (Indy!)
8.) I am a big movie buff and used to work in a video store. (Making minimum wage...)
9.) My all time favorite television show is a toss up between JAG and reruns of the original Star Trek. (Doesn't that just scream geek?)
10.) My favorite Star Trek episode is "A Piece of the Action" (the one where Kirk and Spock are on the mob planet)
11.) My favorite Star Trek movie is Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (You've not experienced Shakespeare until you've read him in the original Klingon.)
12.) My current favorite TV show is Stargate SG-1. (Thought it's not as much fun without O'Neill)
13.) On Friday nights, rather than stay at home or go out and do...whatever it is people do on Friday nights, my friends and I watch Stargate on their big screen TV and/or a movie we rented. (Whohoo big screen and surround sound!)
14.) I do not have a favorite actress. (But Claudia Black is a lot of fun.)
15.) I have never, to my knowledge, fantasized about having sex with an actress. (Guess I'm an oddball.)
16.) I have, however, had a fantasy or two about an anime character. (See previous parenthetical note.)
17.) I am a big anime fan. (That's the cartoons from Japan.)
18. My favorite anime is still Dragonball Z. (*powers up*)
19. But, I still enjoy many others, including Inuyasha, Yuu Yuu Hakusho, and Full Metal Alchemist. (I'd also really like one of the swords from Samurai 7 that can deflect beam weapons.)
20.) I collect swords. I have 4 Katanas, one replica of Excalibur, a ninja sword, a replica of Cloud's Buster Sword, and my bokken. (I carry the bokken around the house much to the chagrin of visitors.)
21.) Final Fantasy VII (the game with Cloud in it) is one of few media (TV/movies/games) to take me completely by surprise with a sudden twist. (Several even. Most of them requiring severe vulgarities and exclamations of surprise.)
22.) I am an avid gamer and engage in at least two hours a day of gaming after work. (This too, usually involves a lot of cursing.)
23.) I do not have an all time favorite game. (But there are several that could compete for the top spot such as FF7, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, BF1942, and the original Doom)
24.) I'm a damn fine shot with a light gun. (Only on the right, I'm working on the left hand.)
25.) I'm right-handed with ambidextrous tendencies. (Don't even think about making wise-cracks about which hand does what.)
26.) I still have my tonsils and my appendix, but my wisdom teeth came in funny so I had to get them removed. (All that OJ keeps me healthy.)
27.) I have a scar on my left foot from the time I managed to clip myself with the power washer. (That stung a wee bit.)
28.) As a kid I liked climbing trees and only fell out on two occasions. Fortunately, I did not break anything. (It was actually kind of fun on the way down!)
29.) I still have a slight indent in my lower lip from years of playing the saxophone. (*licks at it*)
30.) When I was still active, I played alto and baritone saxophone. I can also play the recorder, and have dabbled in the guitar. (Yes, I can still play sax though.)
31.) I sat first chair in the Concert Band in high school. I also was a member of the Jazz Band. (No. I did not attend band camp.)
32.) The most difficult piece of music I have ever played is Vesuvius by Frank Tichelli. (I had a solo too!)
33.) My all time favorite piece of music is The Inner Light Suite from an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. (It's a beautiful piece of music.)
34.) I listen to a wide variety of music, including Jazz, Classic Rock, Alternative, and the crap they play on the radio. My playlists further include video game music/remixes and anime music. (People look at me funny when I sing along in Japanese...)
35.) I took Japanese in college for two semesters before course scheduling precluded my taking another course. I am not fluent, but one day hope to be. (Soo desu.)
36.) I also want to take a trip to Japan sometime soon. (Looonng flight though...)
37.) I have been to three places outside of the United States. (Canada, Aruba, and a few Caribbean Islands.)
38.) I do not have a fear of flying. (I usually critique a pilot's take off and landing.)
39.) I'm not a member of the Mile High Club. (Anyone want to help a guy out with that?)
40.) I would like to learn to fly a planes/jets. (F-22 maybe?)
41.) Ideally, I'd learn to fly under my own power. (Like Superman.)
42.) My favorite comic book character is Spider-Man. (Anyone have an upside down kiss fetish?)
43.) I was not an instinctually good kisser and had to learn. (Could never figure out appropriate levels of tongue...)
44.) I did however, find I have a natural talent for another sexual activity involving my mouth. (*wink wink hint hint*)
45.) I pick up things very quickly and develop a proficiency with most things faster than my peers. (Hasn't stopped me from whacking my toe repeatedly on that table though...)
46.) I am good with languages and often find myself speaking with an accent I've been around recently. (Which means cah and sistah when I'm around my mom...)
47.) As a result of #46, I spend most of my day programming. (That can make for long days...)
48.) I've also begun writing a novel. (Bits and pieces...)
49.) I have a very active imagination and often have my head in the clouds. (Keeps the birds from crapping on me...)
50.) I would love to be put at the wheel of a major motion picture. (Several actually...)

More to come...

Fly: Yep, I still like climbing trees.

Sorceror: Khaaaaaaaaaaaan! Is my second favorite. It would be my favorite, but Star Trek VI has the Enterprise A, which is my favorite of all of them. And we all know the best episode is consistently "The Trouble with Tribbles." "Doomsday Machine" is a great one too, and the first one I can remember seeing. That thing scared the beejeezus out of me as a kid.

Mermaid: Yup, there's more. Thanks for coming by!

DD: What do you think ?

Saddle: Thank you

Candy: Whoo that's a lot of stuff to respond to:
They're making another Indy movie, and I'm scared it will suck.
Whohoo geeks rule! And Tribbles is always voted the top slot
My sis plays the flute. I never had the gumption to play All-state. That would've required stuff like...practice...
Take a guess as to what it would be...
My novel is currently in the hands of two of blogville's finest, but neither have finished reading it to my knowledge. I'm not finished writing it either, so I guess everyone will have to wait. You can E-mail me too and we'll talk about it.
Thanks for all the comments! lol
