Hate the game...not the player

I feel the need to take 10 minutes out of a busy day to write this blog. Ladies, please be honest with yourself when you are in a relationship with someone...whether it be purely physical or a committed relationship. First off, I am very honest from the start of any relationship...my introduction clearly states that I am looking for a NSA relationship and that if it progressed to something more, that would be great. Many women say that they are just looking for a "friend with benefits", when that is not what they are looking for at all. I am not sure why this is? Maybe it is because they feel they will chase the prospective suitor away if they say that they are looking for something more serious? There is a saying... "Be careful what you ask for.....you just might get it".

Please help me understand this.

Don't hate!

I agree with you on practicing radical honesty about what we're looking for.

Here's why women sometimes seem to be lying and they really want more:

Supposedly, women release twice as much oxytocin with orgasm than men do and it lasts for two to three weeks, while for men the effect lasts 2-3 days.

Oxytocin is a bonding or love hormone.

I still believe I could have a fuck buddy (in fact I do have one! ) and not have it be more than that...as long as I don't see him too often and as long as I'm otherwise happy with my life. Otherwise, I find I get clingy, needy and want, want, want something that maybe he's not the one to deliver.

There are some interesting comments on the topic here: Just Friends with Benefits? Is it possible?
