Satin Sheets Suck

I was making my bed this morning with clean cotton sheets and it reminded me of the time I bought satin sheets for my waterbed when I was newly married.

I had seen on quite a few TV programs that satin sheets were considered sexy. I of course wanted to be sexy and hip so I bought a pair. They were on clearence so I could afford them. I couldn't wait to get home and put them on my bed for my husband and I to sleep on that night. I was imagining his suprise and pleasure when he would climb in and discover the new satin sheets. I was also imagining his amorous reaction to the satin sheets.

It didn't turn out at all like I had planned!!!!

Waterbeds and Satin sheets do not go well together. Forget sex, you end up sliding all over the bed. Not only that, but Satin is very cold or hot depending on the room temperature. They don't breathe like cotton and absorb moisture plus they stick if you are hot. If you are cold they don't warm up at all. They just stay cold.

Needless to say I do not use Satin Sheets, nor do I have a waterbed. I have a double-pillow top mattress and box springs. I also have 400-700 thread count Pima Cotton Sheets. I love my bed. I hadn't shared it until this summer but it certainly held up well for all of the activity it witnessed.

There is nothing like clean, high thread count cotton sheets, on a bed, that have been flapping in a breeze out on the line all day.

CookieLips AKA Laundry God,

No my sheets are not line dried. I put them in my electric dryer. I still haven't received an answer to my question.
