Valentines Day I Dont Feel Romantic Anymore

Sorry but thats just the way I feel after my efforts in previous years have been spurned by Unapreciative Unromantic Melbourne Women.

I would turn up to some dates with flowers to no avail.

I once had a mobile billboard with a big heart logo for a Valentines Day message.

I took one date for a Gondola ride on the Yarra.

I had my wedding reception on board a historic steam tug boat and my speach was so romantic several of the mature women cried.

I even welded a Valentines Day message on a 15" square piece of steel plate, but my ex and her family were expecting a card and a box of chocolates. It was only when she told her workmates all about it that she realised its value becuse they were all envious. Bit late.

Most Valentines Days I seem to have been on my own which sort of becomes like a dagger in your heart.

I was considering sending email Valentines greetings to my lady friends, but now I just cant be stuffed.

I have come to the conclusion that for me Valentines Day SUX.

I must agree.....but I suspect that some good therapy would reveal my "hatred" of
Valentine's Day is simply because I always seem to be unattached when it rolls around every year.... Come on Wednesday! Smiles.

Big huhs first. I do agree that most V-days suck. No matter what you do the other person expected something else.

Its also 15 years since my uncle died from skin cancer at 11 am on Valentines Day, he was only 54. My Auntie and her daughters still miss him, his photo is on all their fridges, so he is never far from their thoughts. He only met two of his five granddaughters, and didnt get to meet his grandson at all. Very sad. A true Christian gentleman who always played with a straight bat is how he is described by those who knew him.

So yes the Aussie sun really does have bite, thanks to the hole in the ozone layer.

I agree Mustang Valentines Day SUX big time! It's all commercialised now and as far as I'm concerned doesn't mean Jack. I've never had anyone get me anything for Valentines even if I was in a relationship. This yeah was no different it came and went just like any other day.
