charity rides iz fun :p

Some of you know I went on a charity bike ride yesterday, and for those who didn't..well ya do now!

It was for a good charity..disabled kids and a horse riding place who lets the kids ride to raise morale and stuff. I wont name it here but if ya really care feel free to ask.

Anyway, I didn't win the custom chopper givaway AGAIN which is really kind of ok since we passed it broken down on the side of the road halfway thru the ride lol.

Then we passed Dan Haggerty (Grizzly Adams for you old folks) on his broken down borrowed chopper too..hooray for custom bikes!

The ride itself was cool, and different since i'm not used to having a passenger for one, and even less used to riding in a pack of (they said) 800+ bikes with a police escort.
Police escorts are really cool if you're not being escorted in the back of a cruiser..you dont have to stop for lights or stop signs or anything! It was like a big funeral without the morbid dead people thing.

I don't know how long the line of bikes really was but 800+ bikes in 2 columns takes up some space so my guess is 2-3 miles of bikes, maybe more. Anyway the police had blocked off every intersection alone the route from bike 1 to the last..I can't fathom how pissed the people sitting at the intersections were. It would be like waiting for the longest slowest train ever but at least they had cool bikes to look at hehe.
Some people were waving, some taking pictures, a couple guys tossing a football around..it was all good fun

The after party/rodeo wasn't so spectacular, lunch was so-so but we managed to have fun anyway.
Thanks to my ride partner in crime who forced me to pay attention to what I was doing since i'm not used to having a passenger and for not doing anything to make me drive off the road while we were travelling

Thats all...move along, nothing to see here

Lucky you I wasn't the passenger... we'd never have finished the ride

Having a passenger is a good thing! Makes it more fun! If you're not used to it - practice more! he, he! And remember, if the passenger doesn't take care of the driver, who will?

Glad to know you had a good time... I'm assuming you now understand the phrase "Give till it hurts"????
