Through my eyes

I am one of those people that have many acquaintances but very few close, trusted friends. Those few close friends I do have I hold in very high regards. I have noticed recently how often some of the people I hold so dear shortchange or belittle themselves. These are people that I respect and share the most intimate details of my life with. I've often felt that if they could see themselves through my eyes then all self doubt would soon fade. Its so easy to get swept away by negative thinking that the positives get overlooked. I've decided that I'm not going to tolerate this any more. If another person were to insult one of my friends they would be put in their place on the spot. So to set the record straight I've decided to make it a point to tell each of the special people in my life exactly why they should be proud of who they are. I would like to encourage anyone reading this to do the same. Seek out those in your life that matter most and let them know how important they are to you and what makes them such amazing people. Give them a glimpse of how wonderful they are through your eyes. And while your at it remind yourself that you must also be pretty amazing to have such great friends and family around. It's not about how many connections you make throughout your life... It's the depth of the connection that counts.

Okay, getting off my soapbox now. Have a good one!

This is so unbelievably important, and generally overlooked. Good on you!
