Just to clear up any confusion

I realized that some people who have read my blog before may have been a little confused by my post Not yet, someday . In it I discuss something that a Rabbi once told me. Then a couple posts later I'm talking about Easter dinner. So without going all religious on you I'm going to clarify a bit.

I am one of those people who has an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I also love philosophy and theology. Abstract ways of thinking really appeal to me. I was raised in a very open-minded, liberal home. In my family, it didn't matter if you agreed with something or not, just so you tried to understand it.

I've studied many various religions over the years and have developed my own belief structure. Never really one to fit in with organized religion, I generally keep my specific views to myself. I respect the fact that everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want.

Recently my quest for knowledge has led to me to sign up for a class on Judaism. I think one of the most appealing things about this faith (at least in regards to the Reform Jews) is that they actually dissuade people from converting. They want to ensure that it is your choice and yours alone. So in that spirit, I would like to clarify that my previous post was not meant to impose religious views on anyone, rather share a gem of wisdom I heard and relate it to everyday life.

I understand completely what you are saying. My quest for spiritualism has led me many places and in the end I found my own faith and what is right for me, is not in any one religion.

yeah if there is a heaven the reformed jews, they'll be there. reformed jews don't want you to reform because they dont think god cares if your a jew... also there are as many varying opinions amongst the reform jews as there amongst christians... well maybe not that many?
