The Body Beautiful...

A few years of my daughters did some channeling and automatic writing for me. It had to do with my health..changing my diet etc.

The thing that stuck most in my mind however was the advise given about beauty and my attitude towards my body.

This is advice that can be applied to everyone of us. Namely. Do not judge yourself according to the magazine..TV or other ads you see. Each body has it's own beauty. Recognize your own.

Look in the mirror every day..and tell yourself you love you. Smile at and hug yourself..kiss yourself. Without self can you truly love others.

Instead of focusing on what you think are your faults..list your good points..not just the physical..but the inner qualities as well.

But most of from the inside out..not the outside in. The outer beauty follows. You've been too busy of outside in. Remember your spiritual quest..get back to that.

It's funny how those simple words and my finally acting on them..began to change my life. I did feel silly at first..looking in the mirror..and hugging myself. Telling myself I love me..and how wonderful I am..but I do it now..every single day. I have a lot more work to do..but..I'm healthier..weigh a lot less then what I did..and have much more energy.

My questions to you..

Do you recognize your own beauty..or do you think you have to look like the order to fill that bill?

Do you recognize your good qualities or just focus on your faults?

Most importantly..Do you love yourself?

The ultimate heresy...if everyone learned to love themselves the way they were think about what would happen to the drug industry, the fashion industry, the cosmetic industry, and all those other parts of the economy that work hard to make us feel ugly and awful unless we buy their stuff....
I have a solution, reduce the amount of light everywhere and people will look beautiful.

I do love myself but I suppose it is a little easier for me as a male. Men don't have as much media hype to deal with as to how our appearance "should" be. Most of the time I don't think about it.

Do I focus more on my good qualities...? Yeah, I try to, knowing I need to focus on the not so good too if I am going to improve them.

Living from the inside out is new way of thinking about it.

A spiritual teacher once asked me to tell her my greatest desire desire. I replied, "to *be* beautiful. Not to look beautiful, but to behave beautifully, to treat others beautifully... to *be* beautiful."

Thank you for the reminder.

Joe..I happen to think you're beautiful. And it's time to forgive yourself.

I agree with you about those industries. know the eyes can deceive you. Sometimes the most physically beautiful..can harbor the ugliest secrets and most evil of hearts.

I think this society has made many of us numb to the true beauty of ourselves and each other.

To're one of the beautiful people around here. Your spirit shines very brightly.

Being pregnant isn't easy. Remember don't focus simply on the physical. Live from the inside out. You are beautiful to me.

Nice pic. You have a rather regal appearance. daughter is a wise woman. We were laughing about it the other she seems to be reteaching me..some of the things I taught her..when she was growing up.

I some has been easier for you guys. seems the media hype is catching up to the men as well. Unfortunately..I see some of our young ones falling for it. one such example.

When it comes to improving and getting rid of bad qualities..we all have work to do.

What a wonderful way to put it. "To BE beautiful"

You sweet..beautiful man. Your writing simply reveals what has been there all along.
