Phrases I've Come To Hate...

ยง Now...I don't know about you...but it's gotten rather sickening to constantly hear casters and everybody and their daddy...using phrases that basically constitute...just so much double talk.

I believe the following two phrases...were coined by Rumsfeld...during some of his foot in the mouth..inept and just plain stupid...proclamations about the Iraq Invasion.

If I'm wrong about their origins...feel free to correct me. Doesn't change the fact that I hate them...!!! At this point in time...whenever I hear them...they effect me the same way hearing chaulk squeal across a blackboard effects some people.

"At the end of the day"═

"On the ground"

"The fact of the matter "
(this one comes from justthisguy10

[blog Freelove999] hates the fact that politicians in her own country have caught the "newspeak" bug from the politicians in the USA.

Any phrases that you hate? Feel free to add to the list.

I couldn't even begin to list the words that outrage me!
There are simply too many! Perhaps we must simply avoid
listening to them and try to do something better ourselves.

The one that makes my skin crawl is:

"The fact of the matter..."

When I hear it I know I have just been lied to.

Yup...kind of like a disease...isn't it? One of the signs of infection is diarrhea of the mouth...a cloudy outpouring of words...without any real substance.

Wish I could just avoid hearing them...but it's everywhere! I've heard the weatherman using the "at the end of the day" phrase. I'm terrified that they might start coming out of my own mouth....because I've heard them so much. LOL

Thanks for dropping by...and welcome to AdultFriendFinder. Yup...that phrase is another one...add it to the double talk list.
