DO YOU SUBSCRIBE TO THE DOUBLE STANDARD??

I was in a chat room on this site the other evening. One of the men in the room made statements that indicated he felt any woman that was here was a whore..a slut and unworthy of any respect.

Now given the fact that he seemed to feel HE still deserved respect in spite of being here..sounds like the double standard showing it's ugly face..again.

When women try to be honest about their sexuality..they're..dirt according to some. When they're good little women and behave in what's deemed to be virtuous by society..they're prudes or frigid.

Excuse my french..but what the fuck..as far as I'm concerned..this attitude has NO logic..
other than 'Do as I SAY..not as I DO'. It's a means of subjugation and control.

I realize this subject may hit a sore spot with some of you. But quite frankly..it pisses me off..so I don't really give a rat's ass.

I'm just wondering..how many men around here really feel this way? Do you?

(And after all..remember..I don't really know who you are.)

So have the courage to speak up...and please be honest with me.

sigh. it is sad.
this is how i was brought up to think.
not by my parents, but by the other guys around me.
it was an unfortunately strong imprint as a teen.
i am sure that i was an insufferable jerk
as a late teen and an early 20-something.
i do not hide behind the curtain of youth as an excuse.

i hope that he left the chat room with
the seeds for a healthier attitude.

I rather doubt that he left the room any wiser or logical than when he came in. One of the things that amazed me was that I seemed to be the only woman there who spoke up. I've never understood why some people would just tolerate abuse..of themselves or others. But then..when I think about it..it's always been MEN who've ever called me pushy or too aggressive in situations when I have spoken up. It's interesting..but in the same kind of situations..men are considered strong..honest and outspoken. Oh well..I've never been the shy..retiring..well behaved..little woman

didnt see the note but anyone who thinks that is an IDIOT! How can you say anything else.
THis site is about sexuality. It is about not having the norms that society has.
More importantly, to think that mores differ if you are a man or a woman is just plain strange, illogical.
Have fun kissmystuff, you deserve it.
