BRAGGING..

Sitting here listening to my two son-in-laws on the radio. One is hosting..the other is visiting..with my daughter and granddaughter from out of town. He's sitting in and co-hosting this evening.

My visiting son-in-law is also a musician and singer. One of his regular gigs is playing with the house band at Buddy Guy's place. If you know anything about Blues music..you recognize the name of Buddy Guy...one of the greatest blues messengers in the business.

I've spent a great afternoon..just visiting and catching up on things..with my daughters...grand babies and the two sons by marriage. The visiting one is also an accountant. He took mercy on me and finished my taxes for me. (Would have saved me a whole lot of aggravation..if I'd asked him in the first place...duh!).

I'm smiling as I listen. Some of what they're playing really brings back the memories.

Shouldn't say too much...maybe have said too much already. Don't want to "OUT" myself. But...I'm very proud of my family..including the ones who have married into it. I realize this may not seem normal...with all those mother-in-law jokes out there. But then..hey...we're not the norm.

Keep this one. Yeah, it's pretty easy to see: You are not the 'norm!"

KMS, Now can it really be bragging when a Mother is so Proud and Happy for her children!! it is LOVE Expressed!!

One of my fondest memories of my previous work managing live music venues, a surprise private birthday party for the local owner of a mercedes dealership thrown by his wife. This man loved the BLUES, and his wife flew in his favorite bluesmen, this incredible lineup included Mr. Buddy Guy and Mr. Albert Collins!!
It was the most wonderful evening of music, and to top it off, I got paid for drinking, dancing, and witnessing a great evening of music.

I've never met Buddy Guy personally..but from what my son-in-law says..he's a pretty regular Guy. What do you think?
