Day 6 and still smoke free...

Hello all!!

I am not getting much traffic here on my newly created blog, so I guess I am going to have to make myself seen more. Over the last three days I have been enthralled by one of the other Bloggers out there. Most of you will know who she is, and probably enjoy her writings as much as I do. Odd that I have become so interested in what she has to say, that I could not stop myself from going to her very first post and reading the entire blog from begining to end following her in her search of the perfect "friend" she needs. Her name is greeneyesatl05and I find her writings funny, witty, intelligent an inspiring. I have taken note as to what she says what "not" to put in a contact email, and rather enjoy her responses to the countless number of horrible mails she gets from these imbecils that think that they can get anywhere with her. Green, keep up the good work and I am glad you have found what you have been looking for.

As the title of this post suggests, I am on day six of my journey into non-smokerdom (is that even a word?). I have had times of weakness, times I wish I had a pack of Camels in front of me, but I have fought through all of the urges, desires and cravings for a ciggarette and have not given in. maybe posting here will help me as a form of therapy to realize what i am doing is best for me. I have smoked since I was 18, which means for most of my life. I know that I am doing what is best for my health, hopefully I can change my eating habits as well and shed that needed 25 30 pounds I need to flatten my well rounded frame. I am not obese, in fact I am quite weight proportionate, 6'2" tall 230 pounds, so I feel that it is only a matter of changing what I eat and how much I eat.

I am going to see my son today, and am looking forward to it. He will probaly want to play a couple video games, and thats fine, we tend to have a good time doing that, however I want to try and get him out for some excersize and some needed time out of the house. My ex home schools him, so he does not get out much since her hubby has the only car and she has no means of going out during the day. When I get over to see him is usually the only time besides the weekends he can get a bit of fresh air away from his front or back yards and mingle with the outside world. Parents enjoy your children while they are young, they grow up fast!!

I enjoyed the game last night, though as a Browns fan I would have liked to see the Seahawks win, but all in all it was a decent game, though the Ref's seemed a little biased, but that just may be me. Since none of my teams of choice were in it, I was not as excited about the game as I was in '02 when the Bucs won it all. Yes I have two favorite teams, and I have received a lot of criticism for it over the years. People ask how I can split my loyalties between two teams. I tell them, it is easy, I grew up in NE Ohio, following the Browns, and since I now live in Tampa I follow the Bucs. I favor the Bucs, but will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Browns, just the way I am I guess.

Until next time, have a good day and enjoy your Monday...

John

Awe, thank you! I can't believe you read the whole thing.

lol at your last paragraph...my husband felt the same way. We are from the same area, NE ohio

Now that football is over does that mean baseball starts up again

You dont have to answer that question, I already know it...I look at my sons schedule every day.
