Damn Pollen - I feel like shit

Well I woke up Sunday with a sore throat, swollen glands, and very little energy. I have been this way ever since. I believe it has something to do with the pollen in the air. There has been a lot of it here lately, a curse of the season change, what there is of it here in FL. It has coated my car, my clothes, and there are pollen warnings all around the area.

I am tired, have no motivation, and all I want to do is sleep. I have to force myself to get up out of this chair and do something. I am usually a lazy person to begin with, however my condition has only increased my already lazy nature. Not sure what I have to do in order to get motivated. maybe just force myself and do it. dunno. I find myself not wanting to get up and do chores, clean, do laundry, nothing. I spent most of the day downloading about 100 songs off of the internet (shhhh) and putting them on CD. I didnt move from the chair, except to eat. This is terrible, I am depressed, I am lonely, and I dont know what the hell is wrong.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Welcome to spring allergies! Shut your windows..and turn on the air conditioning. Are you taking anything for them? One of the best things you can do is a Sinus Rinse. You can get what you need for this at a Walgreens. If you do it morning and night....it will help. You may already have an infection from the sinus drainage...and then you'll need to see a doctor.

I try to get in an early morning run whenever possible. It gets the blood pumping, the endorphins going, and really sets the tone for my day. Granted, it was a lot more difficult in Florida with the humidity, but I found that if I went early enough, I got a great workout. Even if it was just for twenty minutes. It's also a great way to get into shape, and now that you're no longer smoking, you need to do something to get your heart rate up. Nothing drastic. Perhaps ten minutes every morning to start. Make sure you do plenty of stretching, both before and after. You may not believe me right now, but trust me; one's state of mind is definitely connected to one's physical well-being. This is obviously not the answer to everything, but it's certainly amazing how your outlook can change once you start to get into shape. Get busy living, John! There's more than a few people pulling for you, here!

the allergies never seemed to bother me in past years, but I guess as I get older they affect me more and more. I will go to Wallgreens today and see what i can find. thank you....

Hi there stranger good to see ya.

You are right, I need to get busy living, a morning run sounds good, and since I quit smoking, with the exception of these damn allergies, I have felt great physicaly! will take your advice and start the morning run or maybe even a bike ride. I have a bike I am not using, and have not used in a while.
