Comfortably Numb

Hope your Sunday was a fantastic one. I worked, didnt sell a car, but it has been a relaxing day for the most part. Been listening to music for the last couple of hours and am totaly relaxed. I have a wide variety of music taste, ranging from country to Rock to classical. today it has been mostly classic rock and country. Today was a Pink Floyd day, so here is what I was listening to.

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on, now,
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again.
Relax.
I'll need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying.
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

O.K.
Just a little pinprick.
There'll be no more aaaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good.
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying.
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

So tell me, what's your favorite song today?

Today has definitely been a Telegraph Road day. Gettin' my Dire Straits fix. Looks like I might be catching Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris later this month, when they come to town.

It was a lullabye of birdland kind of day for me as I found myself coming home from a wedding and reception and I took a much needed nap most of the late afternoon....the peace and quiet was music to my ears~!

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

I have a couple of alltime favorites, number one being "Novemberrain" bye GunsNRoses, I never get tired of hearing that song.
I like a really large mix of things, new country, NOT the old twaggy stuff, classic rock, jazz, R&B, the only stuff I don't like would be , opera, new age/european stuff.

Good song, November Rain. I am not a huge fan of GNR, but there are a few songs I like they do. Your mix of music is similar to mine. I am not too much into the old style country as well, I do listen to a lot of Toby Keith, some Alan Jackson, and of course Garth Brooks. I love Classic rock and my large inventory of Mp3's will prove that. I have about 150 songs on my computer right now, but I used to have over 6 Gigs of music on my hard drive. Luckily I have recorded most on CD over the years. Due to having to re-install windows in he last year or so, I have lost all the ones that were actually on my computer. One of these days I will have to place all of those CD's back on my hard drive so I can have that large collection again.
