I still have a smile on my face

It's kind of amazing to feel this good about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I did have to reply to a Bushie that for some odd reason thought this would be a great place to start a political blog. And here I thought this was a site devoted to more intimate exchanges than politics. I feel compelled to post my brilliant response in this blog with the sole purpose of exposing my brilliant mind (oh yeah...thank goodness there's a spell checker on this site or else everybody would know that sometimes, I'm dumb as a bag of rocks):

In response to TiranIan:

Dude...do you know where you are?

And while George Bush might believe in what his admin is doing, the policies they act on are wrong headed and obviously the product of poorly thought through analysis.

Stuff like support for torture, starting unneeded war, spending like a drunken sailor on first liberty, destruction of civil liberty, fighting the wrong war, urinating on friends and international institutions are just some of the things that are so enormously wrong with the current holder of the office.

I'm sure you are a perfectly intelligent person. How many times does the admin have to smack you in the face with a dead carp before you open your eyes.

This experience with the president is sort of like a really, really bad date. They do everything wrong you can imagine and it's so expensive your great-great grandchildren will still be paying it off.

Anyway...one cool thing about today is that I was taking a nap earlier. The bed still smells of the woman and her perfume. To me that's cool.

Bro ... you should have a smile on your face, as you seem to be creating amusment for youself where none should exist. I actually took the time to post a kind response to your comments on my blog. Little did I realize that you had already "characterized" me, and negatively, on yours, and admitedly, "trying" to make yourself look good. However, in so doing, you showed only that you jumped the gun in interpretting another person's intent and/or motives. To clarify, I am definitely NOT a "Bushie", as you so eloquently expressed yourself.

And yes, I do know where I am. Before asking that, maybe a browse through my Profile would have shown you that I am using this site to filter for quality. Likewise BROTHER, and I use that term loosely here to make the greater point, did you ever consider that, like you, I too wish to attract selective people who appreciate intelligent and current "discussion" on a subject for a greater purpose, without having to put someone down. Did you ever consider that everyone "could" be right, and a cynergee For example, if you were a girl, I would immediately know that you are quick to jump to your immediate emotions and extremely arrogant. Maybe a synergie of ideas could lead to a truth never before considered (hence, the endnote). You would be well advised to not post things about others that are not fact. You never know when you might cross the line of libel/slander. For your ease in reference, here is the reply that I posted before discovering your characterizations and self-promotion on your blog:

"Thanks for your comments. They were obviously thoughtful. I think you may have read my presentation of the issue as my personal opinions rather than just foundations facts. I did not intend to express any opinion, but rather, to stimulate the conversation and to see how other people feel.

Not sure what you mean in re knowing where I am? Here, this site ... here, this country .. or just being emphatic towards your following points. Either way, unless I'm totally missing something, the answer is Yes.

Again, I sincerely appreciate your opinion. Thanks for taking the time."

P.S. I just read your profile. Sad thing is that you seem to be at least a pretty ok guy, both on the political and technilogical, and if we were in college, would probably have been a drinking buddy. Oh well, I just wanted to see this from every angle readily available. No hard feelings. I'll chalk it up to some mixture of ignorance and miscommunication. But, I would still say it's not a good idea to use others just to make yourself look better. Good people would tend to see the opposite in you, and communication is only as effective as the message received. That is why I wrote "...and miscommunication" above.

Moving on, I hope you find what you're looking for here.

Best wishes . . .

Trinlan,

My posts are supposed to be taken sometimes with a half-ton solid crystal of salt. I'm the guy you can point and laugh, and I won't even take it personal. My conservative friends laugh at me all the time.

If I horribly offended, I beg your forgiveness.

James,

Fgetboudit. And per my PS on your blog, no hard feelings. I meant that. Still, I appreciate your response and your updating your own with that response. I'll do the same.

Tiranlan,

Obviously you are scholar and a gentleman.

I still think George is a big, monsterous, and terrible source of policy. But I'll give him one thing about the past couple of weeks...unlike Buchannan (probably the single worst President in US history and may have single-handedly started the US Civil War), he is taking responsibility for policy failures in his administration.

I still wouldn't pee on him if he were on fire...but at least, I wouldn't light the match.
