Being a stand up person!

Why is it..that men, and I know some women do this too, but when we hit our 20s, 30s, 40s, we need to stand up for ourselves, and not do the high school shit anymore. Which means...when you no longer want to date someone, be a Man or Woman for that matter, and explain yourself to THAT person, that you said you loved..Don't send an email......don't call and say its over and hang up.......stand up for yourself and tell that person in PERSON! we are not highschoolers anymore, and needing to hide behind that. what makes this soo hard to do? especially when you started dating this person, their must have been something you saw that you liked enough to ask him/her out? this just boggles my I am sure it does with alot of people.....But damn gets old!

Then again, some people know they are a heel or a jerk and just do not wish to face you. By doing so they would give you an opportunity to tell them what they know already: they are an a**hole.

Mature adults take responsibility for all their actions and behaviors and how those affect others around them.

SassyBelle21 got it right, age does not determine responsibility, maturity, integrity or character. A person must want to grow into these traits and make an effort to do so; it does not come naturally on its own ............ you have to work on yourself.
