I know more people read my blog than regularly comment and that's okay, but I would like to hear from all of you on this one.
Regarding my previous post I would like to say that for those of use who truely understand that music tames the savage beast we don't listen just to give our booties something to shake to, it's a deeply emotional experience... every single time.
So. I want to know what three bands most define you and then give me a sample of a lyric of there's that you think shows why.
I'll go first.
"...and in her fear, she saught cracked pleasures... the passion of lovers is for death."
"I said 'If love is so transcendant I don't understand these boundaries.' She said 'Just don't disappoint me, you know how complex women are... I'll be around if you don't let me down too far.'"
"Scars are the wounds that ew show. Time only heals if you're letting go."

actually i tend to assimilate music tastes from my friends -- i guess as i absorb who they are (and i do like a bit of bauhaus at times). however, if left to my own devices it would have to be bowie --|
"I'm not a prophet or a stone age man
Just a mortal with potential of a superman
I'm living on...."
The the whole album by Roger Waters of "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" because hitchhiking alone through south africa is one of the most defining times of my life.
The third one ... LOL! ... i'm unstable ... depends what age i'm living in could be something from violent femmes, queen, some R&B, or even some Motown
