I'm schizophrenic and so am I...

I always find it a little odd... on weekends, I'm with my kids (who for various reasons are with their grandmother for the weekdays). I'm either down there at her house, or bring them up here to ours. Obviously, I still spend some time on the computer, and on A F F, while they're here, but also obviously, I limit the time I spend here... don't get into chat unless they fall asleep early... don't make the already rare phone call... and certainly don't take off for a last-minute booty call. In fact, I'm a hopelessly normal, if not domestic, mom of kids still in the single-digits. (Though a certain little girl will be hitting double-digits this fall.)

Anyway, it makes me feel like I'm living a double life sometimes. Friends I know from work, or school, or my soldier stuff, or people who know me as a mom, would never believe what I do here. And I imagine people here can't really see me in mom-mode. I have yet to have anyone here actually run into me while I have the kids with me. If it ever happens, I'd love to see how they react - though I hope it goes without saying that I'd rather they not greet me TOO enthusiastically, with the short people present.

As my profile says, I'm not looking for a relationship right now. But I suspect I'm not looking for one at all, until after the girls are grown and out of the house. I'm not sure I could be the mom I need to be, and the sexual being that's in my nature, at the same time. Or rather, I can't imagine finding a guy who will understand that I can't be a nympho all the time.

know just what you mean Elysia, your lucky you have someone who can help you with the kids, I don't trust my mum with the kids she is a b*tch of the worst kind.....

anyway I try to keep the time they spend with her at a bare minimum....or if there isn't any other option I try to make sure my dad is there is take care of them....

he is good at keeping her in her box, well majority of the time, she even gets away from him on occasion
