How many people do YOU love?

I love my kids, even the 'difficult' one that has always exasperated me...maybe especially him, as I remember him, though, with the soggy cloth diaper and pouring the shampoo into the toilet tank so that we forever flushed with bubbles...

I love my granddaughter, who will always hold a special place in my heart, since I pretty much looked after her when she was tiny...and she still IS tiny...for a 3.5 year old.

I love the people I've met in the past year, both from this site, and outside it...they all bring special qualities to eliminate the loneliness of what my life could be like without them...even as I search among them for the bandaid I need for my soul.

I love SOME of the people at my job, but most especially, I LOVE my reps...and I wish that, if I should ever lose or leave this job, I could take them all with me!

I love my purple gopher man, as he makes me feel special beyond words, and brings tears to my eyes when I see him again, and when I have to leave him. I love his wife, who accepts and assists me with a generosity I've never encountered before, as I think she understands my sore heart and how it feels better when I've spent time with them. I love their kids, even when they are jumping all over me!

I love my cat, and though he exasperates me with his cloying mewling and attention needs, chasing my cursor around on my new monitor, and blocking my webcam at the most inopportune of times...I'd never give him away.

I love my life, although that's not a 'people,' but I think, I love me...and even if I don't know where I'm going yet, I think I'm lovable and will be where I'm supposed to be at the end of this strange road. I think this is the first time I've ever been able to just come out and say that, as I always doubted my worthiness and suffered from low self-esteem as a result.

But, this site has begun to help me find myself, and I believe it's the combination of the friends I've discovered, and the writing, that is helping me to sort things out.

Most of the people I've met I would NEVER have met through any other means, and I'm grateful for the time I've spent with all of you.
