Had a great birthday party,(and no, I WASN'T A F F bait!) it was fantastic to see such a huge turnout...I felt loved, special, welcomed by everyone there!!! I wore my shirt till I got too hot...danced, had lots of amaretto and (geeze, what else was in those shots...?) something else shots - all purchased by a very generous guy there!

Stood out on patio talking with lots of the smokers, got perved by a few people (woohoo!) and met some nicknames I've never put a face to. What a hoot!

Had to leave early though, regrettably, but I turn into a pumpkin at midnight...or some other vegetable, like maybe, an eggplant? Oh yeah...

I wonder if Gopher's like vegetables? Going to try my hand at some farming this upcoming weekend, as I've finagled and finessed my way back into my favourite people's home, spending time with their kids, too, for 3 days of sunshine and warmth. Might even get some outlet shopping done, if it's possible, and treat wifey to lunch. I'm not even perturbed by the thought of having to mow 12 acres with a push mower...OK YEAH I AM!

I think that was an idle threat - gee, I hope so! I'm not one of these princesses who stand idly by while work is going on, and that comes from having to work on a farm every summer back in the 60's. My parents belonged to a self-awareness cult called Therafields, here in Toronto, and we had to go up to 'the farm' and pick peas, chase an insanely crazy rooster around, and otherwise keep out of our parent's hair for the summer. We had opportunities though to get into 'special' kinds of trouble, which can only result from having 30 or more kids grouped together in a dormitory while the parental units are scoping out their ID's and SuperEgos...

But the farm taught me music - the first time I played guitar was in front of all the hippies, and I was only 9 years old. Sure, I forgot the words, but a very handsome hippy guy with long long sideburns whispered them into my ear, making me giggle because it tickled...I still like when guys do that to me, even now!

And what was the song I sang? 'Jeremiah was a Bullfrog...' We ended up doing that song, and lots of others, with my fledgling band of peers, at the tender age of 12, consisting of my brother and all his friends. I had a crush on one of the members - who was ALMOST my relative, I'd known him so long, and I didn't understand why I liked him so much...I was too young! Paul has passed on now, and we never ended up getting together, but we DID go to a drive-thru together once, in his convertible, when I was 15...but my stupid brother was in the back seat and prevented any real opportunities from happening between us.

And so, in a convoluted way, I'm back to the title of this entry: (((squishyboobyhugs))) Where did this salutation originate? I'm not even clear, but believe I probably scoffed off of someone in the Ontario Chat room...and it's so me, that I'm now identified and identifiable by it. It was only fitting that I wore a shirt with that logo on it to my party...

The back, however, says, 'Elle-N-Back World Tour, 2006'...no comment!!!

DRAGONSTATUS: She's happy, curled up in a corner of her cave, well-fed, cozy, and dreaming of strangely-shaped vegetables and gopher holes.

(((squishyboobyhugs))) to everyone, I sooo love you all!

You DO give to me W., in ways you can't even understand or begin to know about - just by visiting me and talking with me, and yeah, those arms of yours are featured in a few dreamy 'eye fireworks' that occur when I close my eyes...LOL

The good stuff is ongoing, just muddied with some of the not so good, but that's dissipating daily, thank God!

Like every time I read your posts, I remained speechless this time around too. You seem to have that effect on me sometimes... and it's not just to make up for the fact that there are times when I just won't shut up. Thank you for sharing your flame with the rest of the world... you're a wonderful person. For some of us, you do come first, in a lot of ways, that you'll never-ever need to white-lie about.
