More tagging action than a wrestling match...

Though hmmm...that does give me delighted dark grins!

I was away for a while, but was thinking about my 6 oddities...or as the case may be...strange things about me.

Ah, well, I revel in it.

1.) Turn away, sisters, Turn away...

I am endlessly fascinated by spiders and their webs. Now, if they start jumping at me and shit, this tends to make me a bit uhhh...leery, but some of the most beautiful things I've seen are spiderwebs in the dew.
I always attempt to save them before one of my friends torches them.

2.) I've been collecting books of fairy tales for years. I'm currently seeking the hard back editions of Andrew Lang's Fairy Books. I expect I will find them some day at a garage sale.
I know where to get them online, but don't want to pay $8.00 a piece for them.

3.) When I am highly aggrevated, the bulb to every light I turn on will blow out.

4.) Someone else pointed this out to me and I thought "Damned. It's true, isn't it?"
When I'm leaving a door, I lock it, and circle all the way around before going on my way. I'm sure I complete other rituals before leaving too, but that's the one that's been caught.

5.) My fantasy car is a 1953 Cadillac Hearse with an airbrushed angel on the front that looks like the Statue of Liberty with wings. On the back, in stylized wings of fire, will read "Peace and Grace"...Grace being my middle name.
I have fantasies of driving children to soccer games in it.

6.) I was once in Jerry Falwell's children's choir. I received the "Spirit Award".
They were more right than they knew!

I think everyone's been tagged by this point, but *Grinning Glimmers*, I did enjoy reading about you all!

And at airports, I know that I will actually have to be waved through with wand...I set the electromagnetic alarm off every time!

Now I know what to get ya for xmas! Question: "Where do all the porn stars go?" Joe

"McVeigh had the right idea, wrong address."

"This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickok."

rm_Dysgyzed replies on 3/27/2006 5:57 am:
Hmmm...would that be spiders, books, or a Hearse?
Perhaps a Hearse full of books with spiders?

It seems that the porn stars all plagerize and are run off site. HeHeHe!!!

Spiders are fine, as long as they stay in their webs and don't come near me. Then they're fair game. I actually can't sleep if there's a jumping spider on the wall or ceiling of my bedroom.

Grace is my youngest daughters middle name...and more than once I have enough electricity in my body to power a small town...weird huh?? I know we have more in common than we will ever know...we really MUST get together my sweet and do it up...we will take your hearse...but you can damn well keep the spiders at home (thats the only thing I am totally afraid of!!) We shall call your car the ya soul sis...smooches...QueenB

Oh hell, I LIKE spiders. Snakes too. Better than humans mostly. And snakes DO NOT taste like chicken. Humans do tho', so I've been told.

Answer: "They've all become Volvo dring soccer moms." You REALLY gotta check out that song Dys, you'd love it.

Answer to your question: Probably all of that.

Hail Boudica!!!!! You remind me of her. Joe

"McVeigh had the right idea, wrong address."

"This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickok."

rm_Dysgyzed replies on 3/27/2006 7:06 pm:
Hmmm...lately, I've felt that a cabal is being called.

Thanks for telling me about Boudica; I do relate. I really thought that I was up on some of this, but I am learning amazing things.

There was this quote from (Wickipedia) here:

"she went to live with a second family and stayed there until she was around fourteen. While away, she met new people and learned how to be sociable."

See...that's what happened. I didn't get to go away and learn to be sociable. LMAO.

I'm going to see if I can snag the song now, SugarJoe. I can just betcha it's cuter than hell!

Strangely enough I totally agree with your spider web thing. Beautiful...fragile and beautiful. Besides...who could hate Charoltte?

Jerry Falwell? Hmmm...he probably wouldn't like our Thelma & Louise act...but I'm betting he could use a little excitement in his life too. AND...just a curious little thing that occurred to live by Jerry Falwell and I live by Pat Robertson. Scary huh???

I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn

rm_Dysgyzed replies on 3/28/2006 7:16 pm:
Yes, but you got the Research Center! *weep* I really do need to go there, PixieChick. Hmmm...

Hmmm (again)...we could kid* JF&PR and tell them what a good idea it would be for them to join us. We can go racing up and down highways at 90 and giggle our assess off. They both seem to need to be reminded that Heaven can be found here on Earth. No wonder the Lessons came to us more quickly...we were subjected to such inanity!!!

You know what's REALLY scary? That we are in such close proximity.
I think that was more like a dark cackle than a giggle.

The light in your picture is exactly perfect.

Thought you'd like the Boudica thing, saw the BBC special on it last nite, and immediately thought of you. Except the Romans said she was terrible to look upon, but we know better don 't we? I even bought the DVD movie about her, LOL. Told you we LOVE chicks in chainmail. Which is also the name of a paperback collection of Sci-Fi stories. It's actually called "Chicks in Chainmail". Where do you think I stole the idea? I am just a fountain of relatively usless but intersting facts. Joe

I don't know, SugarJoe...they say that when I am in one of my moods, I'm terrifying to look upon. LMAO.

I've wish listed "C in C", but only see one.

I Like interesting but "useless" facts. (You know we can always think of SOMETHING to do with them.)GMAO...(Giggling my ass off!)

Hmmm...I also just did a search for the video, and came up with a book...a fictionalize account no doubt, but I'm getting it anyway, as a reminder of you. *Smile* It does have good coverwork.

Hugs SugarJoe!

Yes, I have heard stories about the mountains of Jamaica! I don't know how true they are, but they certainly sounded like those deep peace-filled places that let you know there IS at least one God! *smile*

And aren't "off" to see the wizard...I have no doubt that you are off to "be" the wizard. *Grinning Glimmer*

Have a terrific long weekend!!!

I'm with you on the spider thing. I love watching them engineer their webs. However, I do not like them crawling where I can't seem em.

Gives me the heebie-jeebies...

LOL. I suspect when I clean my house, I'm going to find all kinds of balled up cobwebs and creepy about the heebie jeebies!

For the record, "Warrior Princess" IS the BBC documentary , so if you have dvd, and are into it, WELL worth picking up off Amazon. VERY cheap. Carol and I LOVED it, and can't wait to see again.

All I'm coming up with is Zena, which sure as hell ain't a BBC production.

I'm still looking: Here's one from Masterpiece Theater. Is it perhaps the same?

I will seek and find. (dammit).

Thanks, SugarJoe! Let me know if the movie is from MPT.

1953? Why 1953?

I had a 1971 Caddy hearse. It had the 501 CI engine that got 6 miles to the gallon. And it had a 10G fuel tank.

I couldn't drive it very far.

It's true, I can only speak for myself.
I laugh because I cannot cry.

Tears seem a frightful waste
Helpless expenditure of energy
Salty drops of what may-have-been
And grief and regrets poured out
Sob, sniffle, smeary-eyed
Too engrossed in strife
As futile as inward rage
Let it flow from within
Leave the sadness go
Upon the absinthe of euphoria’s wijgs
Rise above the undertow
So, if the tides rise and flood before the dam
Never mind the seas that form around
The mountains and clear away else
Sit upon a cloudy throne and bask in the sun
Arise with the dawn and never set
Lest the sinking begins
Lie back upon the crescent moon
Watching the milky way spilt before your feet.
