Stepping Out & Stepping Up

Sexually, I lean towards the dominant role. Top. Master. Dom. Whatever you want to call it. Though I have been known to switch on occasion, so I guess none of those titles really apply.

Of course, there are plenty of people who would brand me a "McDom," or a Dom "wannabe." They look down upon me, because I am not in the "lifestyle." Which is as perplexing as some of what passes for rationale thinking in Washington, DC these days. Considering that we are all functioning outside what society dictates as the sexual norm, it seems odd that my fellow pervs would be so eager to chastise me as they themselves have been chastised. As Bob Marley once said, "Judge not, before you judge yourself." Good old Bob.

True, I'm not "in" the lifestyle. But I engage in and enjoy BDSM activities just the same. To me, it's roleplaying ‒ sexual escapades ‒ not a lifestyle. That may not be good enough for some. But I don't let my sexual desires define who I am, for I am so much more than that. And that's good enough for me.

So I'm hoping to find a woman of equal footing. Someone who is a whole person, but likes to play dirty naked games ‒ with a penchant for sexual submission. Sure, if you want to take the reigns every now and then, that's fine as well. After all, you never really learn how to hunt unless you yourself have been the prey.

welcome to the land of blog.

i've always giggled at the concept of "the lifestyle" and being in it or out of it. i think we all have roles that suit us naturally...either dominant or submissive, so are we all in "the lifestyle"? or are only the ones who use the secret language & titles & props "in"?

see? wonder it makes me giggle
