Is God trying to tell me something??

So we've been having these violent thunderstorms in NYC all day today, rain just pouring down in buckets and buckets, you know, the kind of weather you want to go out and have sex up against a tree in. (WHAT?! Oh like **you** don't. lol)

I am walking home from the supermarket with my trusty umbrella in hand and have to wait on the corner for the "walk" signal when *BAM* sudenly there's a gumball-sized flash of white light that richochets off the metal part of the umbrella handle and hits me in my forehead dead center, on the hairline. It felt just like when someone *thwacks* you with a finger. I was really scared for like a splitsecond that I was going to subsequently be electrocuted where I stood, but luckily, all I have now is a brand new anecdote, lol.

I stepped into the nearest store because I was really scared to go back out with the umbrella, but after a little bit I decided, "if lightning really does strike in the same spot twice after all, then it is just meant to be," lolol and I made this mad dash for home.

No scars, thank goodness. I guess this doesn't just happen in the cornfields and 'baccy fields of the American Bible Belt, lol.

Woman, leave it to you to get hit by an arc. At least it wasn't full force.

About ten years ago or so, I took my cousin with my to a big party a friend throws every year or so, up in Sussex County. A really bad storm moved in. We all huddle inside and stupid, er, I mean my cousin, who was wearing a ball bearing necklace and bracelet that were so popular for men back then, decides to stand in the open door to watch the storm.

Lightning hits in the backyard and WHAM! Stupid gets hit by an arc. He had a small burn mark where it got him on the bracelet. All the way home, I'm mother hen... "How are you feeling?" "Do you want to go to the ER?" "Does your heart rhythm feel off?"

So I'm asking you all the same questions. But I'm also assuming you just answered my question about underwear bras working to conduct lightning in a storm. So I won't ask that one.
