Friendship..

My friend, since childhood, released an album this week. They wrote about him in the papers and his alternative music got a warm welcome.
Yesterday, I was invited to the release party and decided to go after some thought since I haven't seen my friend in five years.
Giving the backside of my head a slap after even considering not to go?!

I had a fantastic time and met the whole family. But most important of all, my friend was genuinally happy to see me and gave me a big hug when I entered the club.
I was there for him. And he felt it.
It was like if we had seen eachother last week and not five years ago.

Yesterday, I re-discovered, that time is of less importance when it comes to real friendship and that the love always will be there.
We're keen to blame time for not staying in contact. Time or busy lifestyle.

I'm happy that I "took the time" yesterday.
And I am somewhat proud that I overcame my silly thoughts regarding our friendship.
After all, we love eachother no matter what.
*keeps reminder - don't ever forget about your friends!

Todays question: What frightens us about seeing someone you haven't seen in years?

Finns så många svar på den frågan,
men ett är kanske att det är läskigt att konforonteras med det dolda utrymmet mellan världen som vi själva skapar den och världen som den kommer oss till mötes.
Vi har all tid i världen, det gäller bara att ta vara på den...

Nothing frightens me about this - I'm very enthusiastic about it. The closest I'd come would be if it's a person who happens to be a male with whom I've shared "chemistry" and have momentary self-consciousness/nervousness about how he'd see me (age, weight, typical woman shit). But the enthusiasm for seeing the person (curiouslty???) causes that to fade pretty quickly.

Good question!

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]
