Another day, another play

Well, as fate would have it,I received a call from one of the local community theatres and now have been cast in another play, scheduled to open in late October. It will be the largest role yet, almost massive in size with dialogue on nearly sixty of the seventy-eight pages of the script. Intimidating, but as the lead, it should be an enjoyable experience.

And much like things in life, when something fortunate occurs, there is always a flip side, where one learns to appreciate the essence of one's existence, and all the quality that one can have in life, should we be open to the possibilities. Yup, the dreaded "C" diagnosis.

It's amazing how I'm keeping the medical profession afloat with the battery of tests that have been scheduled, the last one indicating that something that "doesn't look good" has manifest itself around my thyroid. Sop, what's my first question? - "Will it affect my speaking voice?" You can tell where my mind is, with the show coming up, and my desire to be on stage once again. This will be conquered, as other hurdles have been, and the end result will be another life lesson, with an optimistic future before me. After all - the show must go on!
