death of a child at the holidays

Our tiny community experienced yet another one

Today was her memorial, yep I did the "reflections through pictures" slide show for the family. I knew this young lady personally, she was a friend of my daughters. So doing her slide show helped me deal with her tragic death.

This one was sad, but....Dad kept telling all of us to smile, especially us who knew her since the second grade.

Now it makes us wonder.......

So much loss so close to the holidays, once again I am urging all who have children to hug them, love them, let them know they are loved, in a new york minute their lives can be gone. Treat each day with a blessing, there may not be a tomorrow,

God bless all and may you all have a happy holiday filled with love, laughter, and memories

12/6/2005 6:43 am has definetly been a first, for a lot of gathering and giving of emotional support I guess it was time to remind all of us who have lived here "forever" who our friends and neighbors are and that in the end we are not alone up here on this hill, nor are we immune from some of the tragedies that seem to hit the bigger cities, that we too, will expereince grief and saddness.

Have a happy holiday and thank you
