Responsibility

For those men who are concerned about responsibility after the baby is born....

I now have a LEGAL AGREEMENT available.

Can we please get past that now?

I don't qualify for your consideration, so I can speak as a totally disinterested party. What so many don't understand, especially women, but men as well, is that one of the underlying principles of human fairness is that rights and priviliges should be roughly commensurate with obligations and responsibilities.

What makes men nervous, and rightly so, whether they can articulate it or not, is their fear that in your situation they could have significant responsibilities down the road with no rights. [As with womens' right to choose. Fine, but then the man may be liable for child support years later, while he has no rights whatsoever, whether it's the decision to abort or later childcare decisions.]

In your case is the fear they would have no parental rights, but be hit with legal child care demands, etc. So your available LEGAL AGREEMENT is an excellent idea. Kudos to you, assuming it's well drafted.

Jack

Well you've certainly come a long way with this. I'm curious to see how close you've come to actually sealing this deal.

That's what I thought, pretty much nowhere, right?
