cups out of the kiln

They are beautiful. Strikingly beautiful. One is so damn pretty that I have declared it "My Cup" and have placed it on the kitchen shelf.

However, I could not really give it to anyone else because the glaze crawled and left a few bare spots. I know that it is food safe (the clay vitrified at that high a temp) but others would worry, so I'm keeping it for me. It has an obscure glaze and the kiln reduction resulted in a crazy dotted, green/pink swirly texture that i'll never be able to reproduce.

Spent all day yesterday(8am to 8pm) in the lab finishing another of the wormy creature scupltures. I don't like this one, but I am finishing it just so I'll have another piece. Headache all day yesterday.

I had a meeting with the professor this morning (got an A and a lot of praise), ran to the post office and mailed off 2 special gifts (I took the 2 best cups from this firing and sent them off), and now am fighting a headache again.

Pictures of cups soon, I promise.

I'm a bit worried about all those headaches

I've been having the headaches for over a year now...long before I went into this lab. My partner tells me that i've had them for about 5 years (I journal because I don't remember things well)

They have increased in intensity in the past year though. I've tried eye exams, cutting different foods from diet, reducing non-work computer use time. My mom has constant headaches and we have never found the cause of hers. I'm hoping its not hereditary.
